Clean, affordable, and a short walk to the beach!

This is the perfect home to come spend some time at the ocean! One level, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Completely remodeled and clean. New back deck, fun outdoor shower, and fenced in large back yard. Fully equipped kitchen if you want to stay in and cook, outdoor grill, and ice maker in the garage to fill those coolers! This house is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood with private, gated beach and sound access points. Perfect neighborhood for walking, biking, kayaking, fishing, etc. A real nature lovers paradise! Close to the Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium and the only golf coarse on the island! Nearby fine dining and shopping in Atlantic Beach, Morehead City, and Beaufort, NC.

Wedding at the Crystal Coast Country Club?? We are a half mile from the club, or three minutes drive!

Weekend Getaway

We booked this perfect spot for a wedding weekend and loved every minute of our stay. The home was super clean and had much more to offer than we needed. This would be a great location for a week long vacation.

Paradise Found!

Our recent stay was absolutely perfect. The house was beautifully appointed with everything we needed for a relaxing beach vacation. The kitchen was well-stocked and the living area was spacious and inviting. The location was unbeatable, with direct beach access and stunning ocean views. We spent our days swimming, sunbathing, and fishing. The house was also close to great restaurants and shops, making it easy to explore the area. The owners were incredibly helpful and accommodating. They were always available to answer questions and ensure that we had everything we needed. We would highly recommend this beach house to anyone looking for a memorable vacation.

Wonderful stay

We loved our stay! Beautifully decorated home, clean and well stocked. The outdoor shower was very nice to have- didn’t get to enjoy the back yard/deck as much as we hoped due to flies/mosquitos. 10 min nice walk to the beach. Great location - loved the beach in PKS and loved being able to easily get to other areas- Beaufort and Morehead City becam our favorites!

Great stay!

Loved this property! The house was very clean, was decorated nicely and felt private although there were many houses around us. The backyard was lovely and a nice addition for the kids to play. Both king beds were firm but very comfortable. Our 6 and 7 year old slept on the trundle beds and were more than comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with great appliances. We really had no problems at all. PKS is our favorite vacation spot and we are sure to return to this home!

Summer vacation

Our first visit to the “Crystal Coast”. We usually visit OBX for our summer vacation, but wanted to try a new spot this year. This house was perfect for us. The cleanliness, location and small details of this property made our vacation even better. Truly a home away from home.

I think the house was really comfortable and accommodating. owners were very nice to work with. Overall, very positive experience. One minor critique is to have a noon checkout time given the price. Other than that we were really happy with our weekend there.

Ultimate Relaxation

This was our second time staying at this property. It was even better the second time, with the addition of the backyard living space and outdoor shower! We can't say enough about how much we love staying in this house. The space is perfect, the kitchen is well stocked, it's easy to get to the beach and the sound, and it's just so cozy and relaxing. We hope to be back for our third visit soon!

Great vacation

The house was great! Good location (5 minute walk to beach or parking pass to drive instead), beach chairs, wagon, and an outdoor shower to wash it all off when you get home. There’s ann extra fridge and ice maker in the garage. The house was beautifully decorated. Screened front porch with swing, cute backyard with a grill. Really the perfect place. We hope to stay again.

Quiet and convenient to beach

We loved the location! The area is very quiet and we liked the neighborhood feel vs more developed areas nearby. Getting to the beach was a breeze walking (5-10 min) or by car (2 min). The house is very nicely decorated. The back deck and yard were great for dinners or hanging out. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay here again.

Lovely cottage close to the beach

We recently stayed at this lovely house, it's beautiful, nicely decorated and super clean. The whole neighborhood is very nice and quiet, we had a great and relaxing vacation. The beach is not crowded at all, even sea turtle mom decided to lay her eggs there. I wish we could stay longer; definitely coming back one day!

House near the beach was perfect for our trip

This house was very appropriate for our family of 4! It had a well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, wonderful screened front porch, reliable wifi, washer and dryer, easy access to the beach, quiet neighborhood with interesting parks! It rained for our first 2 days so we spent more time in than originally planned and this was very comfortable for cooking, games, and movies!! It felt like we had the beach to ourselves most of the times we went ...it was great!! Kristin was helpful with any questions along the way!! This was our second year to visit Emerald Isle area and this was our favorite!!

Amazing Retreat

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Shelter by the Sea! The property was immaculate, nestled back in a quiet neighborhood but still accessible to all we needed. We especially appreciated the coffee station!! We would definitely return for another stay!
