Great property! The front desk staff was very personable and informative. I do wish there was a mirror somewhere in the unit, other than the bathroom. That is really my only gripe, though. Will definitely book there again.

Property Manager Host / Rentals Not Honored by Property

This was an absolute nightmare scenario and want others to learn from my experience so they don’t have to live through it on their own. DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THIS HOST!! I had paid up front for this rental with the “book with confidence” feature because I had read about rentals in the area having issues with fulfilling bookings. This host and property had decent reviews, but knowing out was a busy week and needed to be in same area as my son’s baseball team for a tournament I didn’t want to have any problems. I arrived at the property after driving 11 hours with my young family. Upon talking with the front desk clerk, I learned that they not only did not have my reservation but immediately recognized this is a recurring issue and knew the problem. This is a time share unit and the owners are not allowed to rent their units on VRBO because it violates their owner rules. The owner is renting out via a property manager company, and that company / Vrbo host continues to post there in spite of having these issues. Completely unethical. The clerk at the check in desk was very kind and empathetic to the situation, but not able to do anything to help me as they had no availability. Spent an hour on the phone with Vrbo and they said they can’t refund me the money and have to work through my bank and a fraud claim. Just a terrible experience overall. Disappointed in Vrbo on several fronts but not allowing this property manager / host to continue to post on the site is an easy fix

Overall good stay

Communication with host was great. Place was small but good for a week stay for 4. The carpet in the living area should be replaced or deep cleaned..looks very old. Sofa had stains and bathroom sink did not drain well at all, looked to bee clogged. Not much closet storage space in the hallway.Overall it was a good stay for the price.

Great place, bad host

The pictures weren’t anywhere close to what the actual place was. The hotel was still nice, it was just completely different than the pictures and in the pictures it shows two different bedrooms with a queen bed in both and I asked the host to clarify if there were one or two beds and he wasn’t really any help. He copied and pasted the ad and sent that to me like I didn’t read it already. Didn’t really seem like he knows his property very well which is concerning…

I booked a reservation at this place through Expedia for 3 nights and when I got to check in the reservation was not valid according to the manager of the place although everything had already been paid. She told me that to stay at this place you have to become an owner, having a membership or something like that with them and that this reservation was like fake (she called red flag) because not even the photos were correct of their property, the itinerary number provided by Expedia was not in their system therefore I could not stay in my reservation with my family, the manager offered me a two-hour talk to become a member of the property so I could stay one night (despite having the reservation made and PAID with Expedia) which I did not accept, she told me that maybe one of the owners of the property was the one who was offering the reservation through Expedia and that is something that they do not accept in this place, what doesn’t make sense is that the client pays for this and when you arrive at the place they tell you you CANNOT stay, the client is not guilty that the owner or whoever made the offer on Expedia is not authorized to do so. I find it very unprofessional on the part of Expedia and the property to allow this. I am currently in dispute with my bank to get my money back and very disappointed that this happened to me during my vacation. Don't stay in this place if you don't want to go through a bad time like what happened to me.

Mountain getaway

Exactly As Advertised

We didn't have any concrete plans when we came to Pigeon Forge but we knew we need a place to stay and hang out. This place was perfect and we would rent here again.

False advertising

The pictures on VRBO were not the pictures of the place they put us in. When we went back to the front desk they said this wasn’t the first time that they had happened. Had I known actually how small the place was I never would have booked it because we ended up going somewheres else to stay because it was not big enough for my family and I contacted the owner who chose to do nothing about it.

Family stay

Host was helpful regarding stay details, and responsive with messaging. Property is part of a timeshare company, so they are the ones who were responsible for the room. Timeshare company did not provide all the sheets required for the sofa bed, thermostat for our unit was in the other unit and the air did not work right, and the place was not the cleanest. Concierge was not friendly because we did not want to listen to the timeshare people, haha. Location was great for Pigeon Forge, was right close to the things we wanted to do. Good trip!

Great location. Owner was very responsive to questions and answered promptly. The apartment was smaller than expected but had everything we needed. It’s very quiet so great for a good nights sleep. The check in lady did not seem like a happy person and we were taken off guard and confused by the sales pitch for a timeshare.We thought we were getting a parking pass and the next thing we know they’re trying to rope us into a meeting and “free” money. That has nothing to do with the VRBO owner but we did not appreciate that. And won’t fall for that again. Would we stay again, yes. Will we tolerate the timeshare pitch, no.

Overall, we’re so happy we stayed at Laurel Crest for our vacation! The room was perfect for what we needed, and everything was really clean. Our two kids slept on the pull out sofa and there were extra sheets for them. We didn’t plan to cook a lot but had everything we would need to do so in the kitchen. Our kids loooved the facilities; which included 3 pools (one is indoor), playground, and games. You are only 2 minutes from the Main Street and downtown, which was really easy to access but also far enough away from all the attractions and traffic so it was quiet. All the staff were courteous and kind and there were man events planned during the week. We would definitely stay here again! The only negative I could report was that there was some construction, however it was not distracting even though our room was right next to it. The parking spaces filled up quickly at night, but you still would find a spot close enough. And lastly, we stayed at an owners suite so we did receive many calls and voicemails wanting to talk about the property and basically trying to sell you on a time share. We did not attend the meeting and missed all of the calls since we were out and about every day.

Great Location Close to Everything

This property was VERY close to the main strip in Pigeon Forge so very easy to get to all the things you'll want to do in the city. And only about 15 minutes from Dollywood. The place was the perfect size for our small family and our girls LOVED the pools! Would stay here again. Great staycation for our family!

Great location, very clean and friendly staff.

Loved this place. If I ever go back it won’t be during the busy season but I will stay here. It was a great place very close to everything with all the things I needed. I was very pleased!
