The property was listed as being close to attractions in Pigeon Forge. What wasn’t listed was the twists and turns of the road getting to the cabin. Once you got to the cabin if you didn’t already have your GPS on, you were out of luck, no cellphone reception. Also, the cabin did not have a sign or street address visible at the bottom of the hill. The cabin its self is in need of updating. One major thing for us was the lack of window curtains! I know we are back in the mountains, but still curtains in the bathroom is a must. The cabin was clean enough, but definitely needs a deep cleaning. Cobwebs on the lights and decor. Once we checked in we found the hot tub was not working. We called the owners and they sent the cleaning manager out to help us. She had it working within 30 minutes of being there, something under the house had been turned off. Later we realized why, with the hot tub being on it heated up the basement bedroom and caused an electrical smell. The daughter and her husband couldn’t sleep be it was so hot in the basement bedroom. We also noticed that the outside of the door coming from the hot tub looked like at some point, someone had tried to break in the house. It made us feel uneasy about staying there. As for the safety issues, the upstairs railings will not stop a fall. We had our dogs with us and we were afraid for them to go upstairs because there was nothing from stopping them from falling. Also, the hearth was missing pieces! Someone could get cut.
