I loved this place! I initially booked for 5 nights but ended up staying 2 weeks. First in the dorm and then in a private bungalow. The dorms had excellent a/c. Clean bedding, lights and sockets and thick curtains. The showers and bathrooms were outside and cleaned regularly with soap and toilet paper provided. They also provided clean towels. The bungalow was a nice change after 3 months of hostels. Each bungalow has a kitchen with a good fridge. At the time there were no utensils but the manager was happy to lend me items. The room was clean and had a king-size bed as well as bunk beds which were also large so it would be ideal for a couple with children or even a small group. It had an ensuite bathroom. The shower head could do with replacing which I have mentioned to the manager.
All rooms have space to sit outside surrounded by nature. The hostel is a few minutes walk away from the main street with loads of restaurants and grocery stores and the beach. Whilst I was there the new manager and her son were working tirelessly to renovate the space. Clearly they have a vision for improvements. I was unable to use the pool at this time but I believe it will be usable soon.There is a bar area with a pool table. Laundry service and mopid hire.I found the manager and her son to be great hosts. Always smiling and stopping for a chat. She also invited me to share their family meal on more than one occasion. I would definitely stay here again. Great value for money.
