Deb and Darren were good communicators and we appreciate their hosting.
The furniture is comfortable and contemporary with nice design touches. The two bedrooms each have a bathroom en suite, which is nice. The kitchen is well stocked with glasses, utensils, plates, cookware, etc. We took advantage of the washer dryer, and helpful supplies such as detergent were available.
We'd never been to Phoenix before and so didn't really have any idea of what to expect. We were happy to find several unique restaurants nearby that are highly rated on Yelp, and we enjoyed visiting the nearby Encanto Park. Whole Foods and Trader Joes are 3.3 miles away and share a parking lot, which is quite convenient in our opinion. We ranged as far as Cave Creek, Taliesen West and the Desert Botanical Gardens and this location is fairly balanced for reaching those areas, although I might look a bit farther east next time.
Not really problems for us, but some notes on the unit: This is a fairly large complex, and there is no particular view from the balcony. Neither pool area is visible from the unit (quieter: good). The AC is located outside the main bedroom and is pretty loud when it is on (not malfunctioning loud, just very loud whooshing of air to the point you might raise your voice to be heard if you are standing under it). The unit is on the second floor accessed via a straight flight of stairs.
That said, the unit is lovely and we enjoyed our stay.
