"Staff were very pleasant and nice. TV in our room didn’t work. Given we were in the middle of the World Cup, we’re soccer fans, and we had a two night stay, that was a major inconvenience. Other than the reception personnel, no indication this was even attempted to be addressed and no offer of compensation. Did not make us feel valued."

"We loved the sophisticated feel of staying in an older, elegant home. The breakfast was amazing and so nicely served in the dining room. Our room was very nice, and large. What we didn’t enjoy was the hilly walk from the parking to the house then a narrow staircase to our room. It was quite challenging."

"Liked: room size and layout; easy parking and access; closet layout. Clean Disliked: room fan/ac/ heat was impossibly loud making it difficult to sleep- hear the tv or even carry on a conversation. Over a 4 night stay, we engaged at check in/out and 3 questions - they couldn’t care less and were of no help."

"It’s was a beautiful property, walking distance to the harbor and memorials and many great restaurants with live music. Room was very nice and comfortable."

"We had booked here 2 night arriving in NL and 2 nights leaving after 2 weeks touring . You are downtown and close to everything. $35 flat rate taxi fee from airport. Felt safe. "At arrival, once semi unpacked in our room the A/C didn't work. Had to change rooms and it was a long day traveling by car. Also A/C was not working through out the whole hotel. Very disappointing as it was on the pricey side to stay there."

"Outdated, many amenities out of order (chip and pop machines), rooms still have smoke smell despite being non-smoking, and incredibly overpriced for quality. Stayed another night a different hotel in same area for less money and much better quality."

"Room was comfortable, but , hate the bathroom, there is no good place to put things when showering. Lack of counter space for 2 people. Shower wasn't terribly clean looking. It wasn't dirty, just old looking.."
