"First of all, its close to the train station and various busses which is a bonus. the price of the room was a bargain and provided what we needed just fine, a bed, tv, kettle, cups, shower? toilet and cupboards, so 5* for that. we were on top floor which wasnt mentioned on the room directions on the ground floor, just said to room 21 but missed out 22. there was no plug in the sink and no details for the free wifi so couldnt get internet. the checkout time advertised was 11 and the door lock...

"Steve was really friendly and helped us find a nice place for dinner and breakfast. Kindly sorted a parking space on the property as I think it was a quiet night. But there’s also a huge car park on the other side of the building. More to do at the property than we realised. The communal area is brilliant. Don’t waste your money in the arcades as there’s loads to do at the hotel: pool, air hockey, table tennis, old school games table (pac man etc), sound system to choose your own music. Also...

"We enjoyed our one night stay very much. The room was great, comfortable bed with good quality linen. Breakfast was generous and tasty served with barista style coffee. Staff were kind and helpful and the owner is a seasoned restaurateur which is evident in the excellent quality of food and service. We highly recommend the Percy! "

"Check in was haphazard ,we were informed 14.00 hrs but the employee when he arrived said it was15.00.the property was well kept but some of the other guests were very noisy slamming doors with no respect for other occupants"

"On arrival no staff just a pin number sent to access room. On entering i sat on mattress and nearly fell through as its so thin and missing so many springs plus springs went straight into bottom. The tiny light on wall had no bulb in and was rusty and dirty. Room was dirty no wonder it was £30 for a night"

"Very nice stay, room well furnished and stocked with shower gel, tea/coffee and snacks. Fridge in room also. About 10 minutes walk from the station. Would stay again for sure."

"A decent bed for the night, with on suite toilet (no toilet paper though). Decent shared kitchen to use if required, and a quite area at night. Overall, I'll book with Darwin Guest house again."
