Great Stay, Even in terrible weather
Our Family decided to take a last minute Spring Break trip and had a fantastic time. Matt was a great host and easy to communicate with. We were pleasantly surprised by all of the local dining options. Despite terrible weather that we experienced, we made the best of our trip and had a great time.

A relaxing getaway
We were in town dealing with a very stressful family matter, so returning to this peaceful, quiet property every evening was just what we needed to decompress. Gorgeous water views, TVs in every room, a nice kitchen, and washer/dryer - what more could you ask for? Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

This is an adorable, clean, and well appointed cottage with an amazing view and location on the water. We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay. The host was great to deal with. We would absolutely stay again, and hope to.

Wonderful Cottage with a 5-Star View
This home was a true gem for an empty-nest couple (and dog) taking an autumn getaway in the "top of the Chesapeake" region. The sunrises from the deck or front windows are even better than the listing photo suggests! It's everything the other positive reviews highlight -- clean, comfortable, good communication, easy check-in. A very walkable (and friendly) little neighborhood and an easy drive to restaurants and shops in North East or Havre de Grace, Perryville Park, and Elk Neck State Park. Highly recommended.

Great Getaway
We loved our stay at Matt’s home. Very comfortable with everything you could ask for! Quiet, relaxing and close enough to towns if you want to go explore. We went to a few of the restaurants that Matt suggested and they did not disappoint. We are already talking about the next time we can get back there. Thanks for letting us enjoy your slice of heaven Matt!

Relaxing getaway with amazing views
We had a great time staying at the Waldins' waterfront home! The property is renovated and updated with modern amenities, and well-stocked with towels, toilet paper, soaps, and cleaning supplies. The first thing we noticed was how sparkling clean everything was! Great views, comfortable and ample seating for our family, and the option to hang outside whether at the picnic tables or down by the dock was really awesome and relaxing. My father-in-law caught 5 catfish in total right off the pier and will be talking about that for a loooong time! A big thanks to our host for being so communicative and flexible, offering early check-in and late check-out which can really reduce stress when you're planning for traffic and travel with little kids. A very memorable stay for all of us!

Peaceful setting
Stayed for a long weekend and enjoyed the peaceful setting. Watching bald eagles from the deck was a highlight. Clean, well maintained property and Matthew was very easy to work with.

Slice of Heaven
Our stay was so peaceful and relaxing. The views were spectacular and the beauty of nature surrounds you. The area is rich in history and has so much to offer. The neighbors were super friendly and the owners are just a text or phone call away if you need them. The house was everything we hoped for and more. Our family needed this vacation to recharge our batteries and this was the perfect spot.

We chose this property for out of town family members to join a memorial service. It was ideal. The 3 bedrooms accomadated all of my siblings and after the service my sisters children came over. The house was loved by all. The location is ideal for a quiet comfortable setting. The neighbors are friendly and respectful to your privacy. The house was immaculate and included everything we needed. Our next stay will definitely be there.

The Perfect Getaway
We could not have been happier with this house and location. The views are stunning. The location was so quiet and peaceful in February. All we heard was birds and water lapping. We spent a day walking HdG and North East. Sadly it was off season so a lot of stores were closed. We had a small dog with us, and at MacGregor’s Pub we were able to bring her inside their enclosed porch for a nice lunch. The house itself was spotless and clean and very nicely appointed. We loved our stay and plan to visit again during warmer months, to take more advantage of the water and outdoors.

House was very attractive, clean, comfortable and well decorated. Great views of the bay. Nice fireplace and lots of wood on a cold night. The entry driveway wasn't easy to locate and could definitely be marked better. A/V equipment had limited options and no instructions.

Great location with beautiful water views.
This waterfront home is in the perfect location. The morning sunrises are absolutely gorgeous. The home is adorable and very comfortable. We loved relaxing on the waterfront deck. But the best part was that we could bring our dog. We were able to find dog friendly restaurants/ patios nearby and the Upper Bay Museum is also dog friendly. From this location we spent time in North East, Havre de Grace and Elk Neck SP. We have stayed in this area many times in the past but this place is our new favorite! Thank you Matt!

Beautiful property and view
Perfect spot to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Beautiful scenery and very peaceful. Breathtaking sunrises and we were fortunate enough to catch the full moon each evening. Lots of geese and duck calls and even saw two Great Blue Herons on our last night! Evenings spent in front of a warm fire were very relaxing. We wish we could have stayed longer! Owner very communicative. Meal recommendations were superb. The broiled seafood platter and oysters on the half shell at the Wellwood were amazing. It was a wonderful experience for us both. We'll definitely be going back.

Beautiful and Relaxing
The house and views are beautiful! Both inside furniture and outside furniture was extremely comfortable and was able to relax the minute we walked in the door. Not good cell service, but that is part of what makes the vacation so relaxing.

Beautiful Bay House
Waldin’s was an excellent place for a get away. The vine covered walkway to the front door gave the property an old world charm. The inside was clean, comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed our time having coffee on the patio, reading on the deck, and fishing from the pier. Loved the serenity of watching the sunrise on the bay.

My husband and I loved EVERYTHING about our stay - amazing setting, beautiful water views, quiet neighborhood, plenty of room, well-equipped and clean house, very comfortable indoor and outdoor furniture, 2-person kayak, easy check-in/check-out - we cannot wait to return. We spent many relaxing evenings simply fishing off the dock. Outside amenities like Furnace Bay Golf Course, Casino, Marina, grocery stores/restaurants are all less than a 15-minute drive. We highly recommend this rental to anyone in need of a peaceful, relaxing getaway. Thank you so much Matt for sharing your wonderful home with us (and our 2 kitties). We look forward to a return trip soon!!

Quintessential Chesapeake!
We were a group of family women ages 36-76. The property was pristine and had everything we could imagine. The water views and ambience are stunning. The owners have thought of every detail. The historic town of Havre de Grace is only 15 minutes drive a d has something for everyone, museums, nature, lighthouse, boutique shopping, art galleries and restaurants with water views. Everyone was friendly and so accommodating. The town is very walkable.

Great rental!
This rental was perfect for 3 couples, plenty of room for everyone. House was clean, check in was a breeze, and the entertainment system was awesome. Great location on the water, outdoor space was really setup nice. Enjoyed the fire pit and dock. Although the homes are close together, still feels private. It’s a shared dock, but the neighbors were great! Would highly recommend this rental.

Fantastic Veiw
The house was exactly as pictured. Beautiful setting. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck, watching the sunrise and hanging out by the fire pit. It was so great that we could bring our pups with us. Would definitely recommend this place.

House was very clean and beautiful view of water. Few times I needed to text owner, I received an immediate response. Unfortunately the weather was a bit cold and snowy, so we couldn’t take advantage of the outdoor area. Would be great location in more favorable weather.

Chesapeake Bay Stay
This was a short getaway with our teenage daughter. We would highly recommend. The views are great from this small property right on the bay. Nice outdoor seating and we enjoyed the 2-person kayak to paddle around right from the house. Easy access to nearby towns and restaurants. We rented paddle boards nearby and spent some time in Chesapeake City. The property is well equipped and well maintained and we loved the short drive from our home in PA.

This house was very clean and had an awesome lighting system and audio system. The view was breathtaking and completely relaxed all of us. We toured the town of North East and also enjoyed some seafood. We are definitely hoping to go again next year if this rental is available.

Beautiful spot on the NorthEast River
We totally enjoyed our 3 night stay at Waldin’s on the NorthEast River in Maryland. Just as pictured, all clean, lovely view of the river from the back windows and the deck. Keep in mind that there’s not really a beach at the house, but there’s a nice neighborhood beach just a few houses down that is safe with calm, fairly shallow water. The kitchen was well equipped, though we didn’t do a lot of cooking. No ice maker, but plenty of already filled ice cube trays. Water tasted good, so we didn’t use bottled water. Lots of seating inside and out. Very relaxing and carefree. To find the driveway, look for a white mailbox with the address on the post.

We spent a few days at the house and really had a great time. The house was clean and newly renovated. The views out over the water were beautiful and the water was easy accessible via the dock or stairs directly down to the water.

Perfect Weekend Getaway with Friends
Waldins was the perfect meeting spot for a group of friends between DC and CT. The house was super easy to get to and the check in process was a breeze. We easily slept 8 with all three beds and the futon. Luckily, we had perfect weather the entire weekend there, so we were able to use the shared dock and enjoy the water, while also catching rays from the picnic tables and deck outback. The kitchen was fully stocked with essentials for cooking anything, and there was plenty of dining space inside and out. Matt was extremely responsive and provided us with plenty of recommendations for food and boat rental options in the area. A bonus: the neighbors were super friendly and there to help should you need anything. It was the perfect weekend getaway! Thanks, Matt!

Wonderful View
This was the perfect house to rent for my elderly mother who uses a walker and my pup. The view is spectacular!! The home is extremely comfortable with the open layout. Matt was easy to communicate with and the check in was very simple. I definitely will rent again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Perfect Place!
We took a family Thanksgiving trip to this property. Everything about it was great! Very clean, very quiet and comfortable. Matt was quick to answer my texts and took care of my concerns right away. I also loved the 70 inch tv and sound system! I have no problem recommending this place for a get away!

It's a wonderful life if you stay at Waldon's!
Beautiful view, comfortable home , and great places to eat! If you are a "cook in person" everything you need is in the kitchen and the grill is ready to go. Sit by the water and relax or go visit North East and enjoy the pretty town. You will want to return, as we plan to do.
