Wildlife galore, so nice and peaceful
This house setting was a little slice of paradise. We saw a beaver swimming, blue herons, eagles, ducks in the water and yard. Would definitely come back again.

Beautiful home in serene location
Cannot say enough positive things about this beautiful home. Location on the water is scenic and relaxing. Floor plan is amazing for a large group upstairs and down. Home is outfitted with every necessity. Such a nice touch to have a lit Christmas tree awaiting us. Our adult children have already requested a redo here for next year. Grateful for wonderful memories made.

Great Fall Stay by the River!
My husband and I come to the area at least once a year. This year our family stayed for the weekend and he and I spent 2 days alone. The house was amazing, campfire, cooking together, time spent in North East. Lots of good conversations and laughter! Our 2 year old grandson said "I had fun.... at river house!" We would stay at this house again. Thanks E.B. for making it a wonderful stay.

Great spot!
This house is great! Right on the water, quiet neighborhood, big house with lots of space! Beds were comfortable, beautiful views of the water even from inside the house. Host communicated everything you would ever need to know clearly in email ahead of check-in and printed at the house- very good communication! We would definitely stay here again!

Lovely family get-together
We enjoyed our second stay at this beautiful house on the bay. We particularly enjoyed watching the bald eagles fishing in front of the house and seeing the sun and moon rising over the water. Lots of space for everyone to spread out and yet big enough tables for everyone to sit down as a family. Thank you for the memories.

Wonderful location
It was a wonderful location with a gorgeous view. There was plenty of space for all 13 of us but the house does need some updating. The biggest addition to the property that I would recommend would be a dock. The host was very nice and accommodating.

Great location for our family gathering
My 3-generation family of 9 had a great time overall at this house. It is roomy, comfortable, and well-stocked with almost everything needed for an enjoyable stay. The owner’s helpful suggestion of a fresh crab meat source gave us the opportunity to have amazing homemade crab cakes for several dinners. The four under-10 kids in our family had lots of fun in the nicely-shallow water and little beach at the house, and we all enjoyed the quiet surroundings, beautiful views, and shorebirds. The only reason for the loss of a star in my opinion was the condition of the deck surface: we did not realize until my young grandson had gotten a painful splinter that the deck should not really be walked on barefoot.

Great stay and great location.
We had an awesome time with our friends and our kids who were between 2-11 years of age . EB is a great host , prompt in responding and check in was very smooth . Kitchen is well stocked . Our kids enjoyed the knee deep water all through the day , kayaked and we had also got our inflatable boat to do fishing . Overall great stay and will come back again .

Great for large group
This was our second time staying at this house, it’s great for our large group that gathers every year for a holiday vacation. Clean, spacious, with plenty of options to keep us busy. The view and access to the water make it even better.

Chesapeake Bay
Our family of 12 fit very easily in this beautiful home on the water! The teenagers loved swimming in the bay. The water is chest deep for about 50 yards into the bay. There is a lot of rocks close to the beach so if you have sensitive feet, water shoes are recommended. The house had a large table that sat all 12 of us around. We enjoyed local crab, oysters and shrimp. All of this was able to be cooked at the house. There were small issues with the house before our arrival and the owners went above and beyond to fix the issues so we wouldn't be uncomfortable for a moment! We enjoyed meeting them and would highly recommend this vacation spot!

Relaxing place on the water
A group of 7 friends gathered here for a weekend away from the city. We especially enjoyed the waterfront views, watching birds and boats on the bay. The house was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with essentials. We all want to go back!

Memorial Day Weekend
We had a great time at E.B’s place. We were a party of 8 adults and 4 kids. House was large enough for all of us. House was clean, the beds were extremely comfortable, kitchen contains everything you need. But we did not spend the majority of our time inside. The outside space was incredible. Calm and serenity. The whole place made us feel at ease and relaxed. Great escape from our city lives. We ate all meals outdoors enjoying the views. We had one small issue first night, but E.B was quick to respond and accommodating. We all absolutely loved it.

A Gathering of Friends
Twelve of us gathered to celebrate and participate in a new venture which includes a concert series. The two level space gave our performers space to practice, which was great. We will be talking about this weekend for years to come. This was the second annual gathering but the first at this space. It is simply lovely. It is homey and clean. The views are breathtaking. And lots of parking. We met the owner on our last day. He was very gracious.We would definitely recommend this retreat!! That’s what it was to us.

Great environment…didn’t want to leave.

2nd Family Christmas Reunion
This is the second year our families got together at E.B.’ s for Christmas. He puts up a wonderful Christmas tree and the view is spectacular. Thanks EB!

Family Gathering
11 of us gathered to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday for the weekend. This property was perfect for us and I would highly recommend it. The owner was very attentive, helpful, and easy to communicate with.

Great house
Beautiful views and a well stocked kitchen. Made this one of the nicer homes we stayed at. Plenty of space to spread out and not feel like you are all on top of each other.

Fantastic family vacation spot!
We really enjoyed our stay at 84 Little River. The river is perfect and the inlet for the house is wonderful for floating and paddling. What a pleasure to just be able to show up and have linens ready for all the beds. The house is very well set up for multiple generations - the kids enjoyed spending time upstairs in “their” living room, but there was plenty of room for everyone to hang out together. Grandparents as well! Wading in the shallow river felt very safe and good for small kids. Please note: water shoes are definitely advised to enter the water but once you’re in the sandy bottom is great! Be sure to enjoy the natural environment - we spent hours watching the bald eagles, osprey and egrets that all live in the nearby trees. We also enjoyed dinner one night in Chesapeake City after the sunset cruise down the canal.

Post Christmas getaway

Beautiful location
The waterfront property was perfect for my family. I had the downstairs and my family took the upstairs. The kitchen is well appointed, and had everything we could possibly want. The owner is very cordial and responsive. Helpful listings for restaurants and area attractions are posted on the fridge. Having coffee in the mornings watching the activity on the river was a great way to start my day. I will definitely stay again next time I need a place in the area.

Extended anniversary/birthday weekend
We loved the location, the views and couldn't have asked for better weather. We will be talking about the extended celebration weekend for years to come! The house was not as clean as we expected and was in need of some updates and minor repairs. The host was easily accessible and responsive.

Fabulous view
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit! The house is extremely well supplied and spacious. The dining table seated our group of 11 adults and two refrigerators made the kitchen duties easy. We played horseshoes on the spacious yard, fished, kayaked, and had a bonfire. Our host, E.B. Was very accommodating and helpful.

Relaxing and easy
The property was wonderful; we’re already considering booking there in the future. We loved swimming in the river, and the location was central to lots of restaurants and activities. The owner was responsive to any questions we had.

Great river beach getaway with young kids
We had a great stay at this river beach house. We got the whole house and had 4 adults and 4 kids (ages 3, 4 and 7). The water was warm and shallow. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with a lot of kitchen utensils, pots, pans, etc. We used the gas grill once (but the biting flies kept us inside). Beautiful water views and great bird watching. Plenty of towels and a great laundry machine. The host was super friendly and responsive. It was close enough to stores and great takeout for a pandemic-safe stay. We also visited the nearby orchard (yummy apple cider donuts and a ton of games for all) and a state park in Delaware (paddle boats and a playground were a hit). We had a really fun vacation!

Great River House
This was a perfect location to escape for a week. It is tucked nicely away right next to the NorthEast River. The house had plenty of room for the 9 of us and our dogs. The dogs loved the water. Great deck and large yard.

Relaxing Family Vacation
Perfect for our family with college-age children. They could get away from us and hang out together upstairs. My kids are grown and don't often get to spend time together like they used to. I was so glad that we had this opportunity. The house was so beautiful and comfortable. My dog loved it too!!

A great getaway!

Awesome place . Will come again !!!
We truly enjoyed this place with awesome water views and a small beach to play . Water was not very deep and we could walk for almost half to one mile inside fresh water Bay Area .Property had a kayak and our boys loved it . Will most definitely plan to come again soon ! EB was an awesome host .

Fabulous family vacation
We had 4 generations vacationing together at this beautiful riverfront home. Enjoyed kayaking, swimming, s'mores at the campfire, and watching the herons, eagles, and ducks from the lawn and spacious deck. With other homes only on one side of the house and a big lawn bordered by a creek on the other, it felt like we were at a secluded retreat much of the time. We made some wonderful memories at this spacious, comfortable home!

Relaxing weekend with family
This was our second time staying at this property and it was a perfect long weekend. It was so relaxing to be by the water. We enjoyed watching all of the wildlife and the views were fantastic. The kids had a blast fishing right from the back of the house and going out on the kayak. The property owner is great and very quick to respond with any questions or concerns. We will be coming back in the future!
