Contemporary converted barn, rural location very close to the coast and Falmouth

The barn has a spacious lounge area looking onto the decking where you can sit and enjoy the warm evenings watching the sunset and wildlife in our fields beyond.
The garden area is securely fenced and the car parking area is close to the cottage.
The open-planned kitchen is well equipped with plenty of space to cook whilst chatting with others.
Both bedrooms sleep two people. One of the bedrooms has two single beds with an ensuite wetroom and toilet. The other bedroom has a kingsize bed and an adjacent bathroom and toilet. We also provide a travel cot if you have a baby under the age of two.
We have 2 sheep (our lawnmowers), 6 curious hens and one friendly dog.

Countryside Cornish break

Very clean, lovely quiet location. We loved the views outside, lovely to have a small private garden. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and left us to ourselves for our stay, but close by if we needed anything.

Lovely cottage

The property was very nice and quiet for our stay and suited us perfectly as a base for our Cornwall visit. Would recommend thoroughly. The children loved the animals roaming around (especially the sheep). The fresh eggs were an especially lovely touch.

Cosy and peaceful

We stayed at Higher Lidgey Farm and found it comfy and cosy. My Mum who uses a wheelchair or can walk short distances found it really convenient being able to be dropped right outside the door. We loved having the animals as neighbours, our puppies loved watching the sheep and the chickens kept coming for a visit. Kathryn was on hand should we need anything and was only ever a call or text away. The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed. Close to some lovely places but I would recommend visiting with a vehicle because it is tucked a little out of the way but with a car it only takes 10-15mins and you're in Falmouth which is a lovely place to visit. We'd definitely stay again. Thanks for having us Kathryn and family.

Lovely relaxing stay

We very much enjoyed our week in the cottage. It was quiet and tranquil. The cottage was cosy and well equipped. There was plenty to do in the local area and Kathryn ensured we felt welcome and provided all the necessary information. Looking forward to visiting again!

Lovely location

We had a great time in Cornwall, the property do have easy access to key towns and beaches. The view from the house to the field is just fantastic. Great hospitality by owners as well. The property looks slightly bigger and spotless on the pictures. We stay for 15 days, even though we got clean bed linen and towels, it would have been nice to have a cleansing service in the middle of our stay. Apart from that all good.

Staycation

Lovely base to enjoy exploring Cornwall, easy access (by car) to all main areas we wanted to visit. Very peaceful & ideal for our dog as fenced private garden for him to roam freely and watch the sheep! Our daughters 15 & 11 loved having a walk to see cows, chicken & use trampoline. We thought they may get bored but they didnā€™t want to leave!

Our stay

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage, surroundings and location were excellent. Our only slight disappointment was due to the low fencing surrounding the cottage garden as we didnā€™t feel that it was secure or tall enough to let our dog outside unleashed. Excellent location to explore Cornwall

Really enjoyable stay at the end of September. The property is as described and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is great as itā€™s in a remote location but not too far from the main road so getting around is relatively easy. Would definitely recommend this property.

Wonderful cottage in beautiful location

We had a wonderful week in this peaceful relaxing location. The cottage was perfect home from home with everything we needed. Beautiful location but easy drive to lots of places . I especially loved the friendly free range chickens and sheep at the bottom of the garden. First visit here but will definitely return - highly recommended.

Wunderschƶne Ferienwohnung in lƤndlicher Umgebung

Die Ferienwohnung ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, super ausgestattet (inklusive KƤsereibe, SparschƤler und ausreichend Tƶpfen und Pfannen) und war hervorragend gereinigt. DarĆ¼ber hinaus machen die groƟen Fenster und die hohe Decke sie sehr gemĆ¼tlich. AuƟerdem gibt es noch eine riesige AuƟenflƤche mit Trampolin, das war fĆ¼r unsere Kinder super. Kathryn ist eine tolle und zuvorkommende Gastgeberin. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Beautiful Cottage

Rose cottage is very well equipped and was spotlessly clean and sanitised for our stay . Itā€™s set in a lovely peaceful location with some beautiful walks nearby, We had no problems during our visit so didnā€™t have to contact the owners . Would highly recommend

Stay in lovely Cornish cottage

We really loved our stay in Kathryn's cottage despite all the rain! The cottage had everything we needed and was nice and warm on the colder days. The wood burning fire worked really well, the cottage was well furnished and the kitchen was really well equipped. The view of the sheep out the back of the cottage was great to wake up to and the location generally was very peaceful. Kathryn made it clear at the start that she was available if we needed any help or advice and all of the family members we met were really friendly and helpful. There were various games for our kids and they really enjoyed the space that the cottage provided. They also loved Meg the dog and the trampoline. The television seemed fine the couple of times we used it and the WiFi service was good. The location was perfect for us as allowed us to visit lots of different parts of Cornwall. Short journeys to Falmouth and Truro, and the location was great for visits to different parts of the Cornish coast. We managed to fit in walks at Cape Cornwall, Zennor, Chapel Porth, Kynance Cove and Trelissick. Will definitely consider this property again when we visit Cornwall next year.

Clean and well equipped cottage

We stay one week in this clean and well equipped cottage. We like the fireplace. It is a good place to start several daily trips in the surroundings. You need a car. We enjoyed our stay - and we hope to come back. Mit 4 Erwachsenen waren wir eine Woche in dem sehr sauberen und komplett eingerichtetem Cottage. Die 2 Schlafzimmer und die 2 BƤder sind sehr gut. Die Lage ist fĆ¼r verschiedene TagesausflĆ¼ge in der Region Cornwall ideal. Der Kamin ist super (Feuerholz vorhanden). Aufgrund der etwas lƤndlichen Lage ist ein Auto zwingend erforderlich. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und wĆ¼rden jederzeit wieder kommen.

A Cornish Idyll

A lovely welcome from our hostess. We stayed in Rose Cottage with 2 bedrooms. The combined lounge, dining and kitchen has views over the back deck to the neighbouring fields, as does the main bedroom. The cottage has all the appliances as advertised. There are ample opportunities for walks along the lanes and through the fields on public footpaths. The afternoon sun warms the back deck with chairs to rest and relax and a table for outdoor dining. There are shops within a short driving distance and some excellent local pubs and restaurants. The Pandora Inn was a favourite, but go early, as the car park soon fills up. A great place to stay. Thoroughly recommended for families or two couples.

Lovely quiet location

Stopped here for one week with out 2 westies. The accommodation was comfortable clean and had all amenities. Although a countryside location it was within easy reach of many tourist attractions. Loved the enclosed garden for the dogs. The owners were very friendly and helpful.
