"We spoilt ourselves with 2 nights in Ahas Pokuna. This is a truly special place. Greeted at the road side by Arun our naturalist guide we were immediately enveloped in the forest following a footpath (truly the only access) leading us up the the very exclusive camp. We were the only guest and had the middle of three tent suites/tree houses. The beautifully maintained grounds of the camp are full of birds and the staff are always attentive. "I went to several places in Sri Lanka (the more expensive and the lesser) and I can honestly say I had the best time at this accommodation. "We stayed in the hotel because of Sinharaja rain forest. Location is good, close to city but quiet for sleep. Hotel is very wear off and needs proper cleaning of everything. Owner is nice and helpful is you need to manage something."

"Toted as being one of the most remote hotels in SL the hotel did not disappoint. Fabulous location and well run for such a remote site. You certainly got a sense of the rainforest by the time you got there. Our container was comfortable and the bar and dinning rooms spacious. "The road to Rainforest edge is not good - and you can miss it. It's only partly tarmac, and that pitted. It's uphill, winding, and goes through a tea factory. But when you get there... It's like a medieval castle: great boulders below, tiled roofs above, and an infinity pool looking out over the mountains.
