"Had a great stay here, perfect size for my wife and I, clean place, host was great. Liked the layout, having everything combined in one room, except the bathroom. Kitchen had everything we needed. There was a lot of extra food and kitchen supplies left there from previous guests that we were able to use as well. The roosters crowed most of the night, but we were warned about that, and as long as we had a fan going the noise didn’t bother. It was a great value for the money, for a place to stay...

The only thing to note is that the second bedroom is accessed by passing through the first bedroom. There is a curtain to draw for privacy. This was not a problem for us. "Think of it as luxury camping and you'll be happy. If your idea of comfort is umbrella drinks by the pool, you will not. Personally, I loved it. But it's not for everyone. This is a rustic cabin in the jungle. 4.5 miles off the main road, 2.2 miles of it is dirt (well maintained, regular cars not a problem). 15 minute drive to nearest civilization (the part of the description being in the middle of a historic town is inaccurate - it's 7 miles outside a historic town). "The property is beautiful, lush rainforest surrounded by tropical plants in a private setting just as described. Very clean and perfect for relaxation. Close enough to town but remote enough to enjoy the rain and frogs. The beds and shower are the best! We had a great time and would highly recommend this cabin. It was also nice to be able to do laundry onsite as we packed lightly."

"This was not what I was expecting. It is actually a beautiful home with multiple different efficiencies under one roof. The house is in disrepair and could use some maintenance. There was no AC in the master bedroom and the second bedroom had 3 beds in it. Two of the beds only had foam mattresses. The location is beautiful and close to town."
