My friends and I (12 in total) stayed at the house over Columbus Day weekend. This was an absolutely fantastic property and location. Large enough to sleep everyone comfortably (though some of us needed to share rooms) - the huge living room and dining table are a great touch. Waking up every morning, it was a great feeling to have my morning coffee on the large deck with the bay rolling right up onto the beach beneath me. And at dusk, because the house is on the bay and west facing, the sun would actually set over the water - I've only seen that on my trips to the West Coast. This area of Fire Island is fairly remote and has the secluded feeling of staying in a cabin in the woods. Probably not the best if you want a wild bar crawl type weekend, but perfect for spending a weekend with friends/family and entertaining yourself.
Lastly, what really sold me on selecting this property was the owner. John Prudenti really went out of his way to accommodate us and was excellent to communicate with. I would gladly stay here again, or any other property that John manages.
