My wife and I spent 10 days at this wonderful little cabin on the beach and we couldn't be more satisfied! We were looking for a quiet, secluded place in a beautiful country away from the chaos of the tourist trap locations and this fit the bill perfectly! Located in a quiet neighborhood of locals and palm plantations, this cabin has everything you need. We were able to immerse ourselves in the local , laid-back culture while enjoying our time to recharge. The cabin is centrally located on the Pacific Coast side which makes it a convenient home base for those who wish to visit some of Costa Rica's treasures. Waterfalls, wildlife, striking coastal vistas, beaches, rich jungles, mountains, plains...the diversity and beauty of this area will leave you breathless. The tourist-type activities are also readily within reach if that's your thing (deep sea fishing, tours, zip lining, horseback riding, scuba and snorkeling, restaurants, bars and night clubs, etc).. We did not speak a word of Spanish so we took a little translator booklet and a google phone app that translates and were able to navigate effortlessly throughout all interactions with the gracious and lovely people of the region. The 'Ticas" , as they are affectionately known, were all very accommodating and especially so because we made every effort to communicate in their language regardless if they could speak English or not....this goes a long way and is very much appreciated. Back to the Cabin. The Kitchen is stocked with all the tools necessary to cook. There is not an oven or microwave but we did not miss them. Hot water was abundant, though we rarely used it. The bedroom has an air-conditioner for a comfortable sleeping environment and a bed with an air-mattress (comfortable, as well). The living room area is roomy and clean with a nice cross-breeze and games and books are available. Step out the back and you enter a screened porch area with rocking chairs...great for reading or relaxing while looking out to the beach and hearing the crash of the surf. Ahhh, the beach. Dark fine, brown sand that feels so good on bare feet, crashing waves great for surfing of boogie-boarding, a nearb estuary and seclusion! (The first 7 days we never saw another soul, the last 3- at the most 10) Owners made everything seamless, and Aldo and Rolando were nearby should we need anything..we did not! Can't go wrong with this one folks. Our only regret was that we didn't have more time.
