"My wife, son & I decided to have a spontaneous night away (21-6-25) and after reading a few reviews and using google for location we decided to book with the Stamford Gate Hotel. On arrival the staff were extremely helpful and answered our questions. The room was good and I was even surprised to see trouser pressers in the room. Something I have not seen in many of years which and made me smile and have a good childhood memory of my late parents. The building looks very pretty inside and out...

"Lovely little hotel we would t hesitate to stay in again. We had a lovely welcome on arrival, and the room was clean and functional. Yes, it’s dated and parts are not ideal but the owner is obviously trying to improve as and when they can and responds to all feedback positively. I think the descriptions of the rooms etc could do to be improved just for clarity, but it’s a minor issue. I’ll definitely be back in the future. "

"O hotel é muito bom, o quarto é confortável e muito limpo. O atendimento é excelente, em especial a equipe do café da manhã, muito simpáticas e prestativas. A localização é um pouco isolada, mas a poucos minutos de carro têm supermercados. A piscina tem bom tamanho, se tratando de um hotel, porém quando fomos estava bem lotada. Recomendo o hotel e pretendo retornar."

"I had a lovely experience here. Starting from reception I was welcomed by Veronika a professional friendly receptionist oriented to the customer needs. The entire staff which I meted here was lovely, helpful and nice with everyone. The rooms was clean, free from odor or anything bad. The accommodation was fantastic, loads of parking spaces, restaurants close and in the hotel with very delicious meals. "It was very convenient for where I needed to be overnight and the staff were friendly and helpful. It's obviously not a luxury hotel but it's fine for a short stay."

"Was a short stop before I travelled by ferry, checked in late, had clear instructions from the owner, great communication. Room was really spacious, very comfortable bed and pillows. Included robes to use and a large bath sheet, which if you stay at hotels regularly you’ll appreciate! Really impressed overall with the booking, far nicer than I expected. Great area too. Safe, quiet and close to anything you might need"

"At first I was given a room with a poor wifi connection and got very frustrated. Paula, the receptionist, was very thoughtful and reverted the situation quickly and efficiently. I was very impressed. It is my third time in this hotel and I always recommend it for the good vibe, location, breakfast and restaurant. "
