Whitefish Walkout-walk to Lake Superior Beach!

Enjoy a private space with its own patio and fire pit in our quiet ranch home. Walk to the beach (500ft)and use the fire pit there while watching northern lights! Firewood is available at the road by the bundle or can be ordered ahead of time by the cord. Look for yooper rocks on the beach after dark.
A nature preserve is next door. We sit two miles west of Whitefish point shipwreck museum and are 12 miles north of downtown Paradise, 25minutes from Tahquamenon Falls.
We have one dog, a Boxer named BB, conures,and some chickens on the property. A barbecue grill is provided.
We are usually onsight or a text away to answer any questions! 420-friendly.

Wonderful!

Very clean, private, nicely decorated cabin. Owners were so friendly and helpful. They provided French Roast coffee pods for the Keurig coffee maker, thank you!!! Lake Superior is 500' from the cabin, walkable or drive able for those with mobility challenges. Isolated beach for walking, rock picking, or just watching the waves. Truly a rare opportunity to stay so close to the Big Lake. Bring "U.P. worthy" bug spray. The town of Paradise is 15 minutes away with restaurants, a gas station/store and gift shops.

We enjoyed our time at Dino and Sarahā€™s ā€œBear Retreatā€! The cabin-style apartment was cute, and having lake access right off the property felt like having our own piece of ā€œparadiseā€ Lol!!We discovered a new hobbyā€”rock huntingā€”and found many unique stones. The location was perfect, just a short drive from Tahquamenon Falls and only a couple of minutes from Whitefish Point. Dino and Sarah were very friendly and very accommodating. We had a wonderful trip!

Humble Superior Paradise

Wonderful vibe. Beautiful forest setting. Friendly, easy going hosts. Excellent secluded location, private, comfy, charming, yet modest accommodation. Lovely but very basic, very "rural" style of room construction, super clean. We would love to return next year. Rock picking (agates and yoopers) is a bit sparse but the shoreline is vast and largely private/wild; very few people.

Just what I needed!

I was so happy to find that the walkout was just what I needed! Quiet and comfy and close enough to the things I wanted to do (Tahquamenon Falls and the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum). The beach is just a short walk and completely private and beautiful. Both Sarah and Dino were helpful and fun! I hope to get back there before long.

Nice, secluded get-away!

This was my first trip to the Upper Peninsula, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Dino (the host) answered all of my pre-trip questions, which was very helpful. I had some difficulty finding the property when I first arrived because it's very secluded, as are most of the homes in that area. GPS isn't entirely reliable, but Dino provided additional landmarks and guidance. The space itself was very clean and looked exactly like the photos. There was plenty of room for me, but it could be tight for more than two people. The beach is within walking distance and the location is very quiet and peaceful. Some tips for enjoying your stay and visit in Paradise: - This rental has well water, so I suggest bringing bottled water to drink as you may not enjoy it straight out of the tap. (It's fine for showering.) - The fridge is very small, so plan on keeping food in a cooler. - Speaking of food, bring your own as the closest full-size grocery store is an hour away. Paradise is very remote. - Bring an AWD/4-wheel drive vehicle as all of the secondary roads are basically compacted sand and it gets soft in some places. - Be prepared to drive at least an hour to other cities/attractions, with the exception of the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum, which is about 15 minutes away. - When you see a gas station, refill your tank regardless of the level because, as I said, this area is very remote. I could write more, but I'm limited on characters. Overall, I had a fantastic time in the U.P.!

This rental was by far one of the best. Dino and Sarah were great hosts going above and beyond giving us tips to ensure we enjoyed the local area and our stay at their property. The private beach was awesome and the little walk/drive to get to it was beautiful. Will recommend to others and definitely stay here again if weā€™re in the area.

Lake Superior Beach Surprise

We had a wonderful time. We didnā€™t realize how nice the private beach was going to be and also didnā€™t know how awesome it would be to have a fire pit on the beach. Dino described how you can find Yooper rocks at night and I thought it was a gimmick to sell UV lights until we actually found these glowing orange rocks, so cool! Watched ships pass by as well. Will definitely be back!

This was a lucky find

We loved this place. Immaculately clean room with lots of nice touches. But the location is prime. OK, yes, a bit of a drive down a dirt road to get to what passes for civilization on Whitefish Point, but that was the point. Lovely yard just outside th door. Super quiet since no near neighbors. A short walk to a private, sandy, Lake Superior beach. What more could you want? The hosts live upstairs but respect your privacy. But you should definitely meet Dino. Heā€™s a character.

Generous hosts

I had some vehicle issues on the first day, and had to cut my trip short. Sarah and Dino were two of the most kind and generous people I have ever met. They helped me with anything they could and then some. The property was beautiful and well maintained. Would recommend to everyone.

Short Trip Up North

We had two night stay at the Walk out. If was perfect for our needs, rock hunting and site seeing. Nice access to the beach. We found agates and flouresent stones while there. The hosts were responsive to our needs.
