"Awesome place to stay when in Hilo. Has everything you need to keep everyone entertained even when you are at the property. Billiards, dart board and basketball hoop kept the kids busy. Also, had bikes to ride to go to the beach nearby and tour the neighborhood. But the best thing about this place was that you can try the fruits from the trees in the backyard. "We enjoyed our stay here. It was a great home base for exploring Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and other sights on the Big Island. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds are comfy. We walked to the ocean in the morning for great views of the coast and spent a lot of time on the screened porch enjoying the trees and flowers in the yard. They even grow their own pineapples! Craig and Patti are great hosts. Patti notified us about the Kilauea eruption. Unfortunately we missed the show because...

"We had such a nice time staying in our Hawaiian Celebration! We booked the Bantam Suite (which looks upon the incredible heritage banyan tree on the property), but when we arrived we were offered the Carriage House due to a cancellation – we took it, and it gave us a kitchen, a LOT of space, and ocean views (and lovely sunrises) right from the bed.
