"The grounds and the view are great, the cabin has been partially restored. It was a very rustic kitchen set-up, but we made it work. Only real problem were ants. They could find a single grain of sugar anywhere.We named the rooster that hangs around there Hei-Hei. We also had the gecko brothers who kept sneaking into kitchen.The pond has toads in it and they sing at night, counted 6 one night. "We only stayed one night but would have loved to stay longer had we had the time. The cottage and property were absolutely beautiful, offered everything we needed, and Laurel was a lovely hostess. The breakfast with fresh fruit grown on site was a perfect way to get acquainted with Hawaii. We had to google what some of the fruit was and how to eat them. So much fun, and super fresh and delicious. Great experience!"

"We had a brief and wonderful stay at the tiny house. Adam is a responsive host at a fantastic location. This tidy, tiny, house had all our family of four needed to end our visit back on the big island. The location felt remote and yet minutes to Hilo’s historic district as well as quick access to the nearby surf break. Gas range and outdoor fireplace under the covered porch made for lovely home cooked and memorable meals. Overall, a gem! "

"The place was very nice and we thought the location was really nice, kind of tucked away from the hustle and bustle but still not too far from town. The AC worked great and kept us cool at night and they left a large container of filtered water in the fridge, which was super helpful. Overall, we would definitely stay here again!"
