The house served as a great base camp for day trips to the Kaiula-Kona area, Punalu'u Black Sand Beach,Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and other local sites.The sweeping Pacific view from the Lanai is stunning, with gorgeous sunsets.The house had everything we needed and was very clean and cozy. "Everything about our stay was wonderful. The hosts Carl and Deb were easy to communicate with and responsive to questions. We loved how secluded we were and the private water pond is way bigger than the pictures show. This was a really nice feature every morning and every evening. The house is equipped with all you need. Coolers, beach stuff, fully stocked kitchen. Beds and linens super comfy and comes with a whole drawer of sun tan lotion! We will be return guests for sure!"

"The house has a great layout that was comfortable for 6. The views are wonderful, especially the view of the ocean from the deck. It was a very short walk to a quiet little beach which we liked much better than the big-named beaches. The place was easy to keep clean with an outside shower for rinsing off. "Loved our stay here. It was the perfect spot a little off the beaten path that was a great home base for our adventures on the big island. Close enough to everything you need and far enough from the hoardes of tourists, with lots of little shops and spots to check out nearby. "No shops nearby, but the peacefulness of the area was wonderful. Had to drive a bit to get to places but then the island is big and you do have to drive more. "Our host as very accommodating and responded to anything we needed. The daylight lower apartment is nicely set up. We could see a little view of trees and the water from the small deck with a surrounding flowering garden.We were able to make meals on the hot plate and small refrigerator provided. A microwave and coffee pot is available too. The bathroom is beautiful and the bed comfortable. It was in a neighborhood, so stores are 20 to 30 minutes away.
