"We planned a KC trip for a game at Kauffman Stadium and for a day at Oceans of fun but aren't fans of staying in KC. The Cottage was the best thing would could have done. The host was amazing. We thought we needed to check in earlier ahead of time and they were going to accommodate that. Cottage was clean and set up so perfect. My 2 daughters loved it. "Initially, when we arrived, the property looked unkempt. The “grass” had not been mowed. The front door jam (metal part) was pulling away from the base, which could have been a hazard to a younger child. When we walked in, the house smelled like sewer…BAD! We went and purchased some plug ins to help. The host was quick to respond and came over and flushed the system. It took awhile to get the smell out of the house. "The owner didn’t let us know when the garbage went out so come over to empty the can. I appreciated that but then let himself in to “ turn out the light “. The was a bat flying around in the basement with guano all over the floor. Parking was horrible with narrow streets and cars everywhere. We moved to a different property that was much better She offered to us. I don’t like to complain but it was ridiculous. I believe the owners or manager came in the property at least a couple of times while...
