"I usually travel with my best friend for my birthday weekend this year I wanted to make it a family trip to make memories with the grandbabies. This was a perfect place to do this. It is located at the top of the mountain so the view is amazing. Their is a game room that the grandbabies and all of us loved. Sunsets are amazing and the people around are so friendly. This I would say was the best trip and I'm excited to do it agian and we plan on booking this same cabin. Absolutely love this place"

"My husband and I booked this trip to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. My daughter has also been asking to go camping for at least a year and we weren’t ready to buy all the equipment. "Even better than expected! The RV was beautiful, clean and had everything inside just like a little home! Just outside, a table and a private barbecue were available. Also the lady at the reception was very welcoming and polite. Definitely recommend for even more than one night!"

"It seems in the past it might used to the be good, looking at the infra. We arrived and there was no one at the check in - it was closed. Thee was a nunber to be called, but no one answered. Finally, I found an on-site worker who knew someone ( not the person at the sign ) that could help me. A very nice old lady who did hsr best but could barely find the key. Finally, having found the key, we went to the room. Besides the bed, that was nice, everything else was serioulsy dirty, I mean, DIRTY....

"One of the most beautiful we’ve stayed in, really showcases the mighty Kern river and the glorious backdrop that is the Kern River Valley. You have everything you need, the decor is very cool with a 40’s cabin/Mid Century Modern feel and hosts are so gracious. I would highly recommend The Kern River House!"

"An adorable little house within walking distance from the Kern and town. This place is attached to another property. It had a great floor plan and was a comfortable space. The property manager was very easy to communicate with. I was looking forward to using the hot tub but, it was not for me. However, this was because someone (else visiting the property) may have left the top open after they used it and it filled with tree leaves/droppings. "A nice little cabin in a nice neighborhood. It has all the necessary amenities for a quick get away in the woods. Perfect place if you are wanting to have fun in the snow during winter. The host is extremely friendly, responsive and accommodating. We are definitely going to re-consider this place for our next visit to Alta Sierra."

"Steve, grounds manager, was absolutely the best! He was personable, friendly, helpful, and always available. The rooms were exceptionally clean, well-organized, and thoughtfully set up. Finally, having found the key, we went to the room. Besides the bed, that was nice, everything else was serioulsy dirty, I mean, DIRTY. And Im not the picky kind of person. I wikl give one example ( there were others ); inside the dishwasher, there were used dirty plates from someoelse. I rest my case. Would never stay again and do NOT recommend. By the way, we stayed thefe withiut even having checked in. When leaving, again thede was noone there and I just left the key there. It was already paid."
