Nice place, our 2nd stay, 1st stay w/ new owner.
We brought our 2 teens and 3 of their friends who are on spring break, along with tons of other kids! chk-in was fine. I was told that no one was in the unit next door for a few days. I allowed one of our friends/ visitors to park in the drive next to ours. The owner contacted me immediately to tell me the vehicle had to be removed. “No problem I said” we moved it and the last message I received from her was” thanks, enjoy your vacation”
After unpacking & unloading groceries my husband and I went out for dinner w/ our friends in Baytown. We left our (5) 18&17 year olds at the house, having no doubts all would be fine. 3 hours later I get a call from my son crying saying the police had come there and told them they had 1 hour to pack the house up and leave for violating house rules. I was shocked!
I never gotten a call or message from owner that anything was wrong until AFTER the police had been to the house. These kids were traumatized 9 hours into thier trip, thinking they were in a safe space.
The house rules that were broken that we “had more guests than listed” and “drinking”
We did allow our kids to have 2 school friends 2 come by for 2-3 hours & they were kicked out by police without me being contacted! We weren’t refunded . “No visitors & no drinking” were not listed as house rules ,would have never booked! Don’t stay here if you want to enjoy your vacation, also were being recorded w/out consent.
