"Sassy Seahorse" Sleeps 6-Short walk to the Beach

Welcome to "The Sassy Seahorse," the perfect family vacation location in the heart of Panama City Beach! No crowded parking lots or long waits for elevators, park right at your door and enjoy a short 5-minute walk to private beach access and easy walking distance to great dining and entertainment! Guests may walk through a private gate directly to Bayou on the Beach or walk across the road to Saltwater Grill!

Primary renter must be at least 25 years of age. Guests may be asked to present their IDs upon arrival or anytime during their stay. Do not rent this unit for another party. The primary renter must be staying in the unit.

This vacation rental features:
The unit offers 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms - 2 full bathrooms upstairs and 1 split bathroom downstairs.
Primary Bedroom: King bed - Sleeps 2
Upstairs Guest Bedroom: Queen bed - Sleeps 2
First Floor Bedroom: Queen bed - Sleeps 2
(Each bed features new, premium hotel-style mattresses for a wonderful night’s sleep!)
Sofa bed in the upstairs small room off the master: Sleeps 1
5 smart TVs and free Wi-Fi.
Fully equipped kitchen with all new appliances, including a brand-new washer and dryer.
A private patio at the rear of the townhome.
Maximum Guest Occupancy: 7 Guests (Please note that children under the age of two years still count toward the maximum guest occupancy.)

Nestled in a serene, gated community, our resort is ideal for a family stay with all of the amenities you could want including 11 pools (5 heated seasonally and one beachside), a full-service beachfront restaurant with facilities, putt-putt, tennis courts, pickleball, shuffleboard, playgrounds and more! In addition to those amenities and the hours of entertainment in your own back yard, there is a walking path from the resort leading to the Shoppes at Edgewater with topnotch restaurants and entertainment venues such as FireFly, Dee's Hangout, American Charlie's, Pink Pelican Ice Cream Bar, Rock'It Lanes bowling, Axe throwing, and Escape rooms! We are also just a mile from Shipwreck Island Water Park and less than a mile from Just Jump Trampoline Park, WonderWorks, Coconut Creek Family Fun Park and Ripley’s. Explore nearby attractions including Bayou on the Beach and Saltwater Grill. We are just 5 miles from Pier Park, with all of its fabulous shopping, dining and entertainment!

Gulf Highlands Beach Resort has:
Tennis, shuffleboard, pickleball courts, mini-golf, fitness room and 11 pools total, including 1 beachfront pool and 5 seasonally heated pools.

Private Beach Access: go to the end of W Leslie, Right on White Sandy, Left on Gulf Highland

ARRIVAL:
Guests must go directly to the front gate upon arrival. Please note: the security gates will not provide entry.

PARKING:
Gulf Highland units come with 1-2 assigned numbered parking spots in front of the unit (studios have only one parking spot). Parking passes need to be displayed at all times.

Parking passes are handed out at the security gate and are currently free. Guests can speak to the attendant when they arrive, show proof of the booking and they will give them a mirror hanger pass with the dates on it. If they arrive after hours or the security gate is not occupied, they can just ask for one when they see the guard the next day.

No parking on grass or double parking on the street. If you have an additional vehicle, there are a few paid public parking lots to choose from: 1) Richard Jackson Boulevard at Ocean Towers Condominiums; 2) Churchwell Drive at Front Beach Road, or 3) Thomas Drive at Ripley’s.

Street legal carts are NOT allowed in the complex. However, just outside the pedestrian gate on Front Beach Road, there is a rental place and if you rented a cart from them for consecutive days, you could park it at their location, which is an easy walk into the complex and back to the unit.

Upon booking, you’ll receive timely communications about your trip. Access to your professionally cleaned and sanitized home is also convenient with our custom keyless locks. And, if you need anything before, during or after your stay, our local team is ready to help!

Please be aware that there will be NO refunds for Wi-Fi issues as it’s not guaranteed. If reliable Wi-Fi is a must, you are welcome to bring your own internet hotspot.

Non-negotiable rules: No Smoking or Vaping, No Pets, No Events or Parties, No Firearms. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am (unless posted signage indicates otherwise).If smoking is detected in the unit, a $500 fine will be assessed as we will have to cancel our next renter to get rid of the smell.

Good Place

Pictures were accurate. Description was accurate. Host was extremely responsive. (We had to change our travel date because vrbo wouldnt let us book same day) But the host was able to schedule it and make it happen. Location is wonderful. You are a hop, skip and a jump to just about anything. Beaches, bars, restaurants, activities for the kids, etc. Walmart is nearby for shopping. Full kitchen helps saves money as you can cook. MY ONLY COMPLAINT, is the neighborhood does NOT allow trailers. (HOA violation) For us, a family of 7, we haul a trailer for our luggage. (Uhaul size trailer) BUT, you cant park it anywhere on the property. (Not allowed) So this makes it difficult for large families. The local uhaul facility also wont store it, but the one across the bridge will. (15-20min away) There is public parking as an option (I think we paid 30 for 3 days?) A few doors down, was a family also traveling - who ran into the same problem. So if you are a large family that travels with a trailer for luggage, you'll need to use public parking or the uhaul across the bridge. Not entirely a deal breaker - but just something to be aware of. (May want to place it in the description. Especially for folks traveling out of state) Again, not a deal breaker. House was cool. Host was cool. Very secure neighborhood. (Gated with code access) We are planning another trip in June, and yes, I would stay here again. Its a "do again" in my book. Five stars.

Family vacation

We had a very nice 3 generation family vacation. The townhouse had about everything we needed and was quiet. For the most part, the pictures were a good representation of the home. The paint, floors, furniture, and bedding are all in new condition even though the unit itself is starting to show its age. There were plenty of bath towels, but minimal starter supplies for TP, paper towels, trash bags, and soaps (laundry, dishwasher). Depending on the length of your stay, you may need more of these consumable items. I’ll share some of the wish we had known things for the next renters. The refrigerator does not have working water or ice dispensers. The rental agency did drop off ice cube trays when I asked. The first floor bedroom, with the pull out couch, does not have a door or curtain. I would call it a den and not a bedroom. It still worked for our teenage grandson. He was very happy to have his own space and own TV. We did need the third room because our second grandchild is a four year old girl. She shared the bedroom with the two queen beds with her parents. A very good set up. The complex has mini golf, but the balls and clubs are not supplied. We were able to borrow one club and one ball from a neighboring unit and we all shared. The pool and playground were clean, but the gym on the grounds and the restaurant on the beach were both closed for remodeling. No signs indicated when those would re-open. Bring your own beach towels, chairs, toys.
