PUBLIC BEACH access within a short walking distance!! Avoid the crowds at this beach location. Also, the highway 98 underpass is open for an easy walk to the beach side.
The Winking Turtle is a beach home that is all about location, location, location~ Within walking distance to Rosemary Beach's restaurants, 30 Avenue, Seacrest shops and the beauty of Alys Beach but with reasonable rental rates. Located at Inlet Beach affords an easy walk to 30Avenue for your Donut Hole breakfast Amigo's for lunch and Amici's for your incredible dinner. Live music on the open lawn, a perfect way to end your evening.

Winking Turtle is decorated with a casual, kick off your shoes feel. Bedrooms are located upstairs, ideal for both early risers that want to head downstairs to get going and start the day without bothering those that want to sleep in on vacation.

The kitchen and dining area are full sized and completely stocked for those days you want to buy your fresh seafood and throw it on the grill which located on the back deck.

Living area is open to the kitchen and has plenty of seating to relax and rest after a full day of sun and fun. Large flatscreen TV with Blue Ray DVD and comfortable seating lend to kicking back for family night.

Public beach access is super convenient and has plenty of parking, restrooms and showers. Wagon is provided to help transport chairs, umbrella and towels etc. should you choose to walk to the beach. Beach is not crowded like many of the more populated areas such as Seacrest Inn area or Seaside. Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the sugar white sand beaches that make 30A the perfect vacation spot.

Great experience

The house was very clean, and in a good location! My group likes to walk so we didnā€™t mind the walks to rosemary beach and surrounding areas. The walk to the beach was not bad at all, but at night/in the dark it was a bit scary walking across the highway. The road noise was a bit to get adjusted to in the master bedroom but after turning on the sound machine, I slept great. Overall, this was a great stay! My entire group said they would love to stay again and the location was great!

Perfect stay

We visited to celebrate my wife and I 20th anniversary as well as our oldest daughter graduating high school. This was the perfect setup to accomplish both. Diane was super responsive and easy to work with. We would absolutely stay here again.

Great place for the price

Great home for my family. Roomy and clean. My teens loved riding their bikes up and down 30A, but it was a little nerve wracking for me as a Mom with the kids crossing 98 to get to 30A. That was the only negative to the location. BUT once the underground tunnel is built it should solve this problem. Also, road noise from the master bedroom was certainly noticeable. I slept with the bathroom fan on and it was no problem for me. Otherwise, all good.

Winking Turtle is in close proximity to public beach access.

The beds were extremely comfortable. The property was accommodating for our family. The master bedroom does face HWY 98, road noise was somewhat bothersome, used loud sound machine to drown out noise. Diane was extremely prompt in her response and helpful. The beach was beautiful and clean!

Great location

We really enjoyed staying at this property. Check in was very easy and even with some issues we had(no fault of the property or owners, weather related) everything was solved quickly which we appreciated! Parking is pretty tight so Iā€™d suggest not trying to park more than 2 mid size cars. We had a mid sized SUV and a car and it fit. As for the neighbor, and this was made clear by the property manager and the reviews, they really take things to the extreme with the dog whistle alarm we could hear while not even stepping on their property?? It was honestly ridiculous, but we abided by the advice we received and did not even try to walk the dogs anywhere near his house. Overall the property was great and was in a good location for what we needed. Beach access is right across the street which is super convenient, and Rosemary beach is only about a .9 mile walk. Thanks again for having us!

Not ideal.

This was not what we had in mind when we booked. The location was way outside of the Seacrest area. You have to cross a four lane major road with no light or cross walk to get to the beach access road. Or you can walk 1/2 mile to the next red light and then back 1/2 mile to get to the beach access road. If you have a family this is far from ideal. There is no beach access to seacrest. There is no community pool, No amenities. No beach towels. There is no backyard or anyplace to go outside the house. The back porch is an old wooden deck that is filthy and backs up to the main road with all the cars flying by. The road was very very busy. Lots of motorcycles, trucks, loud mufflers all the time. The neighbors had an alarm on their property line and if you get within 10ā€™ it sets off a high pitch noise. The outside of the house is dark and feels unsafe. There are zero lights outside on the house and there are no street lights. Owner was responsive and offered $50 back because we had sand in one of the bunk beds. Nice people but would never stay here again.

Great location for family beach vacation

The property was clean and comfortable. Check in was easy and everything was as pictured. The location was perfectā€”a six to seven minute walk to the beach. We were worried about crossing the busy highway, but itā€™s divided and has clearly marked sidewalks which made it easy. Walking distance to restaurants and shops as well. Highly recommend it!

Nice house

The house is very clean and was just as described. The noise from 98 really bothered me- but Iā€™m a light sleeper. No one else in my family heard it. The neighborhood was nice. It was a great house for a quick visit to 30A.

Great cozy Beach Cottage!

The house is very nice and laid-out well. Even though it is near Hwy 98 (bringing this up bc it was mentionedin some reviews), there is a pedestrian crosswalk to the beach and the noise is minimal and was white noise to me. The owners were quick to respond when we had a question. We had a nice experience and would come back.

Relaxing Time

The house served us well. Super clean, excellent beds, good location (as long as you don't want to be outside at the house itself). The owners were helpfully communicative so that we were glad to rent from them. I'd like to re-arrange the living room so that the TV is easier for all to watch (the Olympics were on). The rental was comfortable, easy, & relaxing.
