"A beautiful cosy hotel, decorated so you feel like you have stepped back in time with friendly helpful staff and the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in. We loved our stay and our dinner at the restaurant."

"Right in town and incredibly comfortable and quiet. The room is big so it was great having the fireplace and later the reverse cycle, so a nice option in winter. Gunderoo is definitely small but it’s an excellent option if you want to stay out of Canberra for the night and the food options are great."

"The house is really pretty and well kept, the food was good, the staff were polite and helpful. Unfortunately, none of that adds up to the sound of the raucous downstairs throbbing through our room constantly and at a decibel loud enough to be measured on the Richter scale until midnight…. I don’t have a problem with the club having a function and people having lots of fun- but maybe don’t sell the stay as a quaint and old-school relaxing retreat. "Facility appears to have modernised recently. Very nice to walk into the room. Water scalding hot for shower, so that was a beautiful surprise. Riya at reception - outstanding. Asset to the place. Nice BBQ area in full view of room. Could leave kids in room and felt safe about it"

"I like staying in this motel. It’s right in town and is comfortable. The bed is good and it’s clean. It’s behind the hotel and the food is excellent there."

"We stayed in the Garden Room, in mid May. The room is very rustic and while it would be great for a stay in spring or summer, we were very happy to only be there one night. It was comfortable (great bed) but very cold. I would suggest looking very closely at the photos on the website, and perhaps staying in a room in the house if you have a couple of nights in Yass."

"Arrived late and received a courtesy call from staff advising of parking options and entry instructions which were easy and efficient. Easy stroll to restaurants and supermarket for dinner and snacks. Pool looked so inviting, sad we didn’t bring our togs. Room was spacious and clean with a comfy bed. We were just passing through, a shame we couldn’t stay. "

"Fabulous hot water! Great proximity to Goulburn sights. Traffic noise was disturbing a bit. Also other door noises kept waking me through the night."
