"This was a lovely home that served as our base for one night during a brief visit to Volcano National Park. The rooms were comfortable and we enjoyed falling asleep to the sounds of frogs and other chirping critters at night. It was an easy drive to the entrance of the National Park. "

"Our stay was amazing! The lush greenery and serenading Coqui frogs were a lovely touch. Plus, the space was super accommodating for our group of 7 adults - plenty of room to spread out and relax. Volcano National Park was just a 15-minute drive away, and everything else we expected was there too! We loved ending the evenings with a warm soak in the hot tub under the stars, followed by gathering around the outdoor fire pit. One more tip: be sure to check out, Lanikai Brewing in Volcano & Kaleo's...

"The home was perfect - exactly as described and better than expected! The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, and everything we needed to clean up as well. There was even a cooler available for us to bring a packed lunch into the national park! It really felt like home, not just a sterile rental. The beds were incredibly comfortable - we all slept so well in the cool weather and appreciated the cozy bedding. Mahalo for your hospitality!"

"The house and grounds are spectacular! The pictures do not do it justice. The home is stunning with two large bedrooms, a huge bathroom and side bath, fully equipped kitchen, beautiful living room, the indoor/outdoor dining area is perfect and I can’t say enough about the huge porch."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Mauna Loa! The home was very private, comfortable and peaceful. The proximity to Volcano National Park it was only a 6 minute drive- made it convenient to take breaks and for an easy drive to catch the sunrise over the volcanos. The owner, Bud, and his dog Lizzy are really engaging to chat with but also respect your privacy if you prefer. We loved soaking in the hot tub at the end of our days spent hiking. "

"We had a lovely stay for 2 nights here. It was clean, organised and comfortable. Stacey was a great communicator and every accommodating. It's a 10 minute drive to the Volcano national park and the stand out of this place was the spa at night after a big hike and watching the stars. Amazing! Highly recommend "
