Located at the edge of downtown just a few blocks from the San Juan River, this historic house boasts convenient access to all the fun in town as well as outdoor activities nearby. Within a short walk, you will find the San Juan Historical Museum and Riff Raff Brewing Company, while a short drive will bring you to various parks and the relaxing hot springs. Skiing and snowboarding await 24 miles northeast at Wolf Creek Ski Area.

Wolf creek ski trip
Upon arrival you’re in awe of the surroundings. High country neighborhood is beautiful. The home is inviting. As you walk in a warm burst of air greets you to shake off the cold. We unloaded and got busy warming dinner and visiting. After a full day on the mountain, coming home and cooking was the best. A delicious meal and ya didn’t have to drive. Stay here it’s a lovely home.

Excellent Location
Great location very convenient to downtown Pagosa with a short walk. Also within easy walking distance to breweries, the San Juan River and many restaurants and shops. Only downside is it is a downstairs unit and you can hear some activity from those upstairs. Wasn’t much of an issue when we were there but can see it being distracting if there was a large group who either stay up very late or get up very early.

Perfect accommodations and great location!
We had a great time in Pagosa, and our Vrbo choice was perfect. Found it easily, felt totally at home and it couldn’t have been in a better location. We will definitely book here again!

Wouldn't go back or recommend.
The first thing we noticed was that the instructions were not very complete. On arrival, we found 3 different lock boxes and had to try each to figure out which one we needed to get in. We also noted discarded clothes outside the entry. On unlocking the door after we figured out which door, the door knocked into the chairs and kitchen table - there is so little room between the refrigerator, kitchen table and the door, this was inevitable. The kitchen table was dirty and sticky - uck! The floors were dirty, living room was not very clean overall, but behind the TV, the floor was covered with dirt - apparently hadn't been cleaned for quite a long time. There were a total of 3 water glasses in the kitchen, although there were plenty of wine glasses. The fridge and freezer worked well, although someone forgot to put the tray under the ice maker in the freezer, so the freezer was covered with ice cubes. The fridge, thankfully, was clean. On to the bathroom. The toilet ran and ran. I tried to fix it, but it needs new parts in the tank. Kept me awake all night. The shower/tub we didn't use - it needs a good acid cleaning to get the grime out, and had bugs in it. We used the bedroom with the queen bed. The ceiling fan was so noisy we had to turn it off, even though the room was warm. The bed was too soft because the mattress had broken down. Someone tried to compensate for the old mattress by putting a foam rubber layer above the mattress, which only made it worse. I got up at 2 after tossing and turning, and didn't get back to sleep until 6, then slept for 2 hours. If I sound cranky that is because I get cranky when I don't get enough sleep. We left the unit in better shape than when we got there, but it needs a lot of work and better care if it is going to be used for VRBO stays. We have had very good luck with VRBO in the past, but if this last stay is any indication, we will have to do a thorough check and read some very good recommendations before we use VRBO again. This stay, even for just one night, was unacceptable.
