"Many things to like: newish hotel with modern decor, comfy bed, nice bathroom, environmentally friendly ethos. A couple misses: for a hotel that touts environmentally astute choices, the breakfast that was mostly packaged highly processed food was pretty disappointing. The much touted espresso machine was available 24/7....but out of order. The coffee in urns was fine, but nothing but fake creamer to put in it (i did eventually find some actual milk ostensibly for the cereal. "

"This was my favorite hotel we have stayed at in the KC area. Big rooms, great location, friendly staff and clean. We were disappointed at breakfast when we were there 30 minutes before closing time and they were already out of waffle batter, yogurt, cups for juice and no fresh fruit. But the rest of the experience was fantastic. "

"WHEN WE CHECKED IN WE WERE NOTIFIED THAT THE ELEVATOR WAS NOT WORKING. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE IF THEY WOULD POST THAT INFORMATION ON THE WEBSITE WHEN IT HAPPENS. THE LADY WHO CHECKED US IN APOLOGIZED AND SAID SHE MOVED US DOWN A FLOOR TO GET US CLOSER TO THE BOTTOM SO WE WOULD NOT HAVE MANY STAIRS TO CLIMB. THEY HAD SIGNS ALL OVER THE HOTEL, BUT AGAIN, NO NOTICE ON LINE OR VIA MESSAGES."

"Clean room but small space and very dated. If you don’t need stove and a full size refrigerator, which occupy too much space in the room, look elsewhere. Low ceiling makes the room look pretty cramped. Not worth my $200. Below average breakfast. Only good thing there was front desk staff and special shout out to Miriam. Thank you for being so nice. "

"Very clean and maintained. Breakfast was excellent. The breakfast burrito in foil on yesterday’s menu was a nice change from the usual eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. Yogurt machine with toppings also very nice. However there was no decaf coffee in breakfast area or lobby; only in room. I also noticed that regular lobby coffee in thermos was lukewarm."

"This was in a quiet area. The grounds were kept up nicely and all staff were incredibly friendly. The beds were comfy!"

"Checked in and the entire lobby just has a weird smell of food. Got to our room and we had NO hot water. Reported to the front desk who had their maintenance come and said a fuse blew on the hot water heater. We just drove 8 hours and all my kids needed bathed. And were forced to take cold baths. After an hour the water was still cold and I was like "you'll just have to be patient" it was like midnight. The toilet paper smelled like cigarettes and there was no stopper for the bath tub. "

"The room was not clean. Very dirty floor. Looked like it had not been swept or mopped in a long time. The staff was wonderful. Very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was not much to write home about."
