"Amazing property . Loved the carved wood ceilings and wood panelled walls not to mention the secret door. "A really comfortable and charming property. Very clean with a well equipped kitchen. The bed was also good (even for me with a bad back). The location is superb - in a quiet valley, an easy walk to Bolton castle and just a stroll to Aysgarth waterfalls. As a map will show, really close to Wensley and Leyburn with nice pubs. Juliet and David were very friendly hosts (as were the sheep)."

"Very pretty and had all we needed for self catering. Maybe a baking sheet, smaller saucepan and a baking dish would have been useful - not a big deal!Lovely to be next to the beck, loads of birds to watch and interesting places to visit.Drive from The Tan Inn to Hawes not for the faint hearted, narrow and very steep.Noticed a funny mark in the oven which I couldn't clean so emailed the office and someone came the next day to clean it - excellent. "This was our 2nd stay in Carr House. It’s a great home with fantastic outside space. We love Kirkby Lonsdale and visit at least once a year. We have stayed in many properties all of which have been lovely in their own way. Carr House is our favourite though. Great experience from communication with Clare and ease of check in and check out. We hope to return again! "

"Our stay at the New Inn 1730 was only overnight, and we arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening. This is a welcoming & friendly pub, with restaurant and accommodation. The owner did his best to accommodate our needs during our short stay, and is still finding his feet a little having only recently taken on the business. "We had a wonderful five night stay in Newbiggin. Phil could not have been more helpful and accessible.Westbrook House was beautifully clean and well equipped. We were blessed with incredible weather and sitting outside the cottage enjoying the peace and quiet with a glass of wine was just perfect.Excellently situated for walks and other local delights.Cannot recommend highly enough - thank you Phil"

"Beautiful cottage on the edge of the Lake District. Great location as it’s a short drive to most popular Lake District attractions. Stunning scenery and spacious cottage make for a relaxing getaway. Kev welcomed us when we arrived and recommended places to visit including the local pub for pizza which was lovely! 100% recommend this cottage for anybody looking to visit the Lake District. The hot tub was a luxurious bonus which helped us relax after a long day of hiking. "
