"The house has a very large open living room upstairs, plenty of bedrooms for us. The backyard is large, although most of it fairly steep slope towards the lake. The lake was up several feet when we stayed, so the beach in the photos was under water. Pella is a 7-8 minute drive away. Overall we liked the property."

"The cabin was perfect for our weekend hiking trip. The cabin was just as advertised and the host was very responsive with any questions I had. We cooked three delicious meals on the blackstone while enjoying the beautiful view of the river. We would definitely book this place again. "

"House was beautiful, lovely decor and furniture. Deck was well appointed with hot tub, grill, patio set. Would have liked just slightly more privacy, side deck was visible from road so passersby could see us hanging out in the hot tub, a privacy screen to the roadside would be an excellent addition. Otherwise, private back area to woods which was nice. "

"We had 6 family members traveling from California, Georgia and Pennsylvania to visit family in a nearby small town. This historic home in Pella was perfect for our stay. We all had private rooms and the common areas were spacious enough to accommodate us all. We walked into downtown Pella daily for the restaurants and shopping, super convenient! Would definitely book again! "

"The pictures don't do this place justice. The house is clean, spacious, and has everything you need. We loved sitting on the huge deck and took advantage of the very clean, heated pool. The host was very responsive to our questions and needs. The only suggestion would be putting some darker curtains on the windows in the upstairs bedrooms, the sun had us up pretty early. Overall this was the perfect place for our girl's weekend and we would definitely stay again!"

"We really enjoyed our vacation! The pool and the pontoon we rented were the best! The house was nice . Struggled with the hot water, the kitchen wasn't really fully stocked. I would have brought things had I known. I hated having to drive to get more supplies, more toilet paper, kleenex, cork screw, more garbage bags. Things that should have come with the rental! We all loved the pool and fire pit. The house was clean and plenty of room."
