Amazing is the only word I can think of. We rented there for a couple of days, simply to investigate the possibility of using the farm as a site for a movie production. Not only is it perfect, but we will be shooting there in the very near future. A portion of the cast will actually be staying on location. From the time we drove through the beautiful front gate and crossed the bridge over the clear mountain creek, we knew we had discovered the perfect place. The magnificent “barn” is far from a typical barn. The horse stalls are superb, the mountain and pasture views with the beautiful horses were such a delight. The accommodations over the barn are spacious and quite elegant, with the hand carved spiral stairway to the sleeping loft and the large deck facing the mountains and green pastures. There’s a cozy screen porch off the master bedroom overlooking the mountain creek. The two bedrooms and the sleeping loft can comfortably accommodate six people. The well equipped kitchen and laundry were certainly a convenience. The wedding site and facility were fantastic, though we obviously didn’t use that. Once the movie is complete, I’m sure I, along with several of the cast and crew, will make our way back again to enjoy both the farm and the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina.
