Please read the entire description before booking. This is the lower half of a large lake house. There are no shared interior spaces and the space is as pictured here. Gorgeous pool and outdoor kitchen are yours alone to use.

Discover your private paradise in this freshly renovated, lower-level lakehouse villa. While modest from the outside, the property opens up to reveal a stunning retreat with landscaping that rivals a high-end resort, all infused with a vibrant Key West theme.

* Fully-equipped kitchen for all your culinary needs

Unique Features & Amenities:
* Access to a classic 27-foot sailboat docked on the property, featuring shore power and a cozy berth for a unique overnight experience.
* Ping Pong table for friendly competition
* Family-friendly items: Pack 'n Play and a high chair are available.
* Pair of kayaks to explore the lake.

Use of the heated spa is included in the listing price. The cost to heat the pool is $70/day. Please indicate ahead of time if you want the pool heated so that I can invoice for it and get the heater on before your arrival as it can take 24 hours to warm up.

There are several miles of trail, some are closed because of flood conditions, and a couple sections of boardwalk planks. There is a great variety of terrain from sawgrass marshes to pine flatwoods, bay swamp and oak hammock. The Fallen Log Crossing and Osprey Overlook trails are the must see parts of the preserve. You might luck out and see an osprey or eagle, or even a gopher tortoise. I choose Michael G.s' lovely home for my family vacation in Orlando....the pictures were completely accurate but didnt prepare us for the extra touches that his rental provides (i.e. - plenty of pool towels & floats, most spices, including sugar, flour for most cooking needs & our grandkids love the thoughtful welcome basket he provided, after a long day of traveling!!) Fluffy bath towels & comfy beds were wonderful for the evening after days of Orlandos activities or the great amenities(pool, spa, ping pong table, kayaks, pier for fishing & of course the sailboat) of the house! My crew, of 8, thoroughly enjoyed our time at Michael Gs lovely rental!!! I would DEFINITELY recommend his property & would love to use it again when family comes to visit again, if available!!

Infinity pool lake happy place

This place was perfect for our needs. Besides the great views, the large pool deck provided many opportunities for relaxation during the day and evening. The property is in a small gated street on edge of Metro West and highway access to anywhere else in greater Orlando. And quiet. It was fun getting to know Michael and Chelsea, too. Simply great hosts.

What a great host! Matt was very accommodating and very responsive! My family stayed at this location and hosted my son's groomsmen and sword detail (14) for pre-wedding brunch and photos. This place was the perfect indoor and outdoor space. The outdoor kitchen and pool side space was perfect. Thanks Matt for making our stay perfect!

Lovely and close to parks

This property is great for families. Our children loved the pool and the beach. Very close to the theme parks made for an easy trip. The hosts were thoughtful and the house was well appointed. Plenty of towels. High quality linens. They also thoughtfully provided some snacks and soda water. There is plenty of room for a family trip.

Backyard Oasis in Central Florida

My husband and our two teenage daughters spent a full week here while we had an event in downtown Orlando and it was a quick 12-15 min drive. Very convenient for us as we had to travel back and forth several times a day. The neighborhood is gated and quiet. The house was very clean and comfortable and we didn’t have to buy a thing while we were there. Michael keeps the house fully stocked for everyday life. The pool, outdoor kitchen and back patio are AMAZING!! We spent the majority of our time out there. The views of the lake from the patio and while in the pool were so lovely! The greenery and landscaping added so nicely to the oasis effect. It was incredibly serene and quiet (even during the weekend) while we were there in late May. We LOVED bird and creature watching, so maybe bring some binoculars. My daughters also enjoyed the volleyball court. I honestly don’t think you could find a lovelier spot in central Florida! The guest entrance is down some side steps and completely private. In fact, we only saw the owner once when we drove in and they do such a nice job of leaving your space completely unbothered, but it is also nice to know they are just upstairs if you need them. Michael’s place truly became our home away from for the week and we highly recommend it!

Wonderful stay

We had an amazing time staying here. The view across the pool and lake were unforgettable. We were coming for a wedding and the location was perfect, <30 min from Disney for a day trip and <30 mins from most of Orlando.

Wonderful place, would go again

The property was lovely. You truly do have an undisturbed full lower level of a house with gorgeous views and a pool and spa. The location for us was great including the gated community for peace of mind. Enjoy the lake and pool but twenty minutes or so to most everything like universal. It was clean and really well stocked. It’s one of the best and most accurately portrayed places we’ve stayed. We grilled and swam and kayaked. Overall I loved it.

A perfect week with family

Thank you for providing the perfect backdrop for our Christmas vacay in Florida. The home exceeded our expectations, close to Disney, Cape Canaveral, Merritt Island, Apopka Lake and Leu gardens. Everyone was very cozy in their own room, sharing the common living spaces of kitchen, living room and dining. Very well supplied! The evenings and mornings were topped off with a swim in the heated pool or a dip in the hot tub or a kayak paddle out on to the lake. This home comes to you with my highest recommendation. I will return.

Great Location and property

Unfortunately the place wasn’t cleaned completely when arriving and had to wait, then still wasn’t done so had to finish up ourselves. The owner did refund cleaning fee but wasn’t the start we were expecting. Rest of our stay was pleasant and the house was nice. Beds comfortable and kids loved the pool and Pingpong. Cut off time for pool was kinda strange, but with proper communication with owners they were flexible with the time and it was understandable with respect to the neighbors so kids were happy. With long days at the parks they were happy to know they could go night swimming Note this is a shared property. Although both first and second floor living areas are completely separated, it’s just the lower location of the house that is accessible only from the backyard and fully accessible to the pool area. The top section is the main floor living for the homeowner. Overall we enjoyed it and would recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay while visiting the area.

Amazing place and host

We have stayed in Florida quite a few times and this has been by far the best place we have stayed in. Everything about it was brilliant but particularly the outdoor area, we had the most relaxing time and I cannot rate this place enough. The host was brilliant and very communicative when I asked him questions. We would definitely recommend anyone to stay here!

Friendcation

My husband and I had planned a beach vacation for over 6 months with our best friends. Because of the hurricane, we found out 36 hours before leaving for the trip that our resort would not be opening. We quickly searched VRBO and found this gem. It was everything we could have wanted. The pool/hottub overlooking the lake was so peaceful. Inside had everything we needed and was so nice and clean. Host, Michael was fabulous and so quick to answer our questions. I give this place a 10 out of 10 and would recommend to anyone!

Excellent getaway, amazing host

We stayed at this VRBO for a guys golf weekend. Michael (host) was excellent, very helpful and easy to reach. The house is kept in amazing condition, very clean and has everything we needed. The views and the outside kitchen, hot tub, infinity pool and beach volleyball are definitely the best part of the place. The pictures don't do it justice. We were close to a lot of places and golf courses. I would definitely stay there again!

Hidden Gem!

It’s a “WOW” experience when you walk through the gate and everything is so new and Clean! Just as pictured online - open and spacious inside and out. Host is very accommodating and easy to reach. Large infinity pool appears to flow into the beautiful lake where we took advantage of the paddle board & kayak. After a day out at Disney, etc we saw Gorgeous sunsets with cocktails around the fire pit. Kids had a great time and are asking when we’re going back, I hope soon. PS Accommodations are so clean and comfortable (loved that the in-laws had their own suite :). Kitchen is well equipped.

Weekend in PARADISE!

Our family had a wonderful weekend getaway at the Key West Lake House! We really enjoyed the hot tub and the sunsets over the lake. The Disney fireworks were an unexpected surprise. We hope to visit again next time we are in Orlando!
