The hotel and room was not as advertised. It was not well lit and the lobby was dark and front doors locked. Called a number on the sign and someone finally came and said we had to use a different entrance. Upon opening the door to the hallway we encountered a strong smell of marijuana and plug in air freshener to cover it even though there is a sign in the lobby that says no cannons. The room was over powering with air freshener to cover the musty moldy smell. The carpets were not properly vacuumed and the bed cover had a black mark on it. We did not stay in the room. We called them and asked for a refund and were told we couldn’t have a refund and had to call the next day to speak to the manager. We ended up driving home late at night as we could not stay in the room. When we called five times the next day we were hung up on when we asked for the manager five times. We have escalated this with Knights Inn head office and will be with Expedia also. We paid for a room that we did not use. It was not clean properly and the odours throughout the room and building were not healthy.
