During two recent stays at your Orangeburg property while taking my daughter to college, I encountered several issues that were far below acceptable standards.
My first stay, from Friday to Saturday, involved a non‑smoking room that smelled strongly of smoke. The sink did not drain, and the television was not functioning.
Unfortunately, my second stay was even more concerning. The room had visible roaches and ants, the water was cold, and the sink was again inoperable. I documented these issues with photos and shared them with the manager on duty, but no corrective action was taken.
I raised my concerns during each visit, as any guest reasonably expects a clean, functional room and appropriate accommodations or compensation when those expectations are not met. None of that occurred.
The only positive aspect of my experience was the customer service provided by the staff, which I genuinely appreciated. However, the condition of the rooms and the lack of follow‑through on reported issues made both stays extremely disappointing.
I am requesting that this matter be reviewed and that an appropriate resolution be provided.
