Nice property. We enjoyed the balcony and view from the 12th floor. Easy beach access. Very enjoyable. Only wish I had remembered to bring coffee filters!

serious repairs needed

Upon arrival the door lock was very problematic. When we walked in the smell of bleach was overwhelming. There had obviously been a leak in the fire suppression system with bare drywall patch and pieces of the ceiling shedding the popcorn coating. all return vents were covered in what appeared to be mold. this was also moving along the ceiling. There was a large blower in the 2nd bedroom from when mitigation had been done. Refrigerator was dirty inside on the shelves. Reported faulty smoke detector took 24 hours and multiple texts/phone calls to get a technician to repair it. I would be embarrassed as the owner to rent this property as it has too much deferred maintenance Not what I expect when I stay at Summerchase.

Bittersweet stay

This review is bittersweet as the check in process was HORRIBLE!! We could not get into the unit as the old keypad was laying on the ground and a new one obviously had just been installed. Vacasa was not much help as they did not seem to understand what we were telling them. After 45 minutes they finally gave us a new code and we were able to enter the unit, only to find every single door was locked from the inside! Very frustrated at this point the HOA let us borrow a key to open all the doors into the bedrooms and bathrooms. Upon entering the unit we noticed a large patch on the ceiling that was still under construction from some type of leak. Traveling on a motorcycle we were hot and tired at this point and just wanted to get on with our HONEYMOON. The next morning we were woken up at the crack of dawn by repairmen. They said the owner had called them to work on the ac unit in the ceiling. They were told the unit was vacant. Clearly there was a lot of miscommunication between the owners and Vacasa, even though we had booked the unit a month before our stay. At this point we really expected the courtesy of a phone call by the owner with an apology. The sad part is the unit itself is nice. I would recommend some hand towels for the bathrooms, and a notepad and pens. After dealing with the code issue, we needed to write down the new info to enter the condo, however there was nothing to write on or write with.

As advertised

Our stay was pleasant. The temperatures were cool and we enjoyed being able to leave the sliding glass door from the master bedroom to the balcony slightly opened at night. It was like actually sleeping on the beach listening to the sound of waves. The only complaint was the sound of a hammer drill coming from the unit above us all day on Saturday. We could understand a partial day of work on Saturday and after leaving for planned outings before lunch. We expected them to have knocked off by the time we returned about 4:00. They continued to work past 5:00, but we knew there was remodeling taking place prior to booking, so this is not a huge complaint. Just a little annoying.

Great spot but lacking supplies

This is an older property but it was a great location. The only bad thing we experianced was the lack of what we cionsidered normal supplies. There were no sheets or blankets for the sleeper sofa and when we reached out they brought us 2 sets but one was too small and neither had a blanket so we had to improvise. There were no cleaning supplies at all which we expected in a full kitchen. I mean how do you clean up after meals? The most frustraing thing was there were only 2 trash bags in the kitchen and when we reached out we were told that thats the Vacasa policy and the person we talked to even thought that was a bad idea. Other than that the place was dated but did what we needed it to do. They should let people know if they need to bring cleaning spray and trashbags in the listing if thts the policy.

Cleanliness???

Filthy carpet in bedrooms. Dirty rug in living area. Tile floors seemed clean. Counter tops were clean. Couch fabric needs to be cleaned. Bedspreads need cleaning. Large shower needs mold cleaned off interior side of tile curb below glass doors. Good water pressure. Good view from lanai. Nice unit if issues are resolved.

Tile in master shower needs to be replaced, faucet in master bath was leaking, shower only has one "warm" setting, could not adjust for warmer water - overall it was ok

July 2020 Vacation

The condo complex was wonderful and had great access to the beach. The beach was not crowded at all by our complex thanks to some vacant lots on either side. Just down the beach, things looked very congested. The condo itself was nicely decorated and our first impression was positive. However, we quickly saw that several things are in desperate need of a overhaul. The microwave front seemed like it was about to fall off, the faucets in the bathrooms were disgusting, the dryer was squeaky and took 4 cycles just to dry our towels. While the showers looked beautiful, on closer inspection we saw that the caulking was all cracked. I would assume that water was getting behind and growing who-knows-what. The view of the beach/ocean from the balcony was gorgeous, but paint was chipping from the railing, and the table was missing portions of its tilework. With a bit of maintenance and replacing some faucets and appliances, this condo would be outstanding! One other note: we didn't have enough towels in the master bath and I found it impossible to call Vacassa and request additional. We actually had to go to the store and buy our own. Vacassa needs to clearly show their phone number on the app and website.

Not impressed with our condo

This unit was not up to our standard. It was very dirty, our feet were black from walking on the floors. All of the air vents looked like they were covered in black mold. The kitchen was lacking in basic supplies such as a measuring cup. The first time I tried to cook I had to wash all the dishes I needed because they were dirty with food caked on them or greasy. I was uneasy about anything else used in the kitchen and would wash them before using them. The appliances are old and not in the best shape. The faucet had to be just right or it would spray water out the back all over the counter or it would drip no stop. The microwave door handle is broken and the washer and dryer are rusted on the inside. We have stayed in the area before and this unit paled in comparison. The condo overall was nice and has plenty of beach space to spread out. We would stay in the condo again just not this unit.
