Tranquil Cottage in the Woods with Lake Michigan only 300 feet away.

Minutes east of I-43 nestled in beautiful wooded acreage with a short walk to the shores of Lake Michigan. This cottage is on a private drive and a great panoramic view. The only neighbors that are close by are the owners of this cottage which gives this a great appeal for those who value service. Enjoy the sights and sounds of Lake Michigan with a tranquil walk down our lane. We are 12 minutes from Sheboygan where the famous Blue Harbor Resort is located along with several unique restaurants and specialty shops along the Sheboygan River. Sheboygan County has several opportunities for golf enthusiasts including The Bull at Pinehurst Farms, Riverdale Country Club, Blackwolf Run and Whistling Straits. Ryder Cup is at Whistling Straits just 20 minutes away from the tournament. For fishing enthusiasts Sheboygan offers Dumper Dan’s Charters where you can take a ride on Lake Michigan for some exciting fishing. Racing enthusiasts? Just a short drive away you can enjoy weekend races at Road America in Elkhart Lake. For those who like to shop we have several local towns that not only have antiques and boutiques but also several good local restaurateurs and wedding venues.

Quiet easy vacation!

Your cottage was pretty, cozy and very inviting. Very peaceful which is what we were looking for. Thank you for thinking of everything we needed and decorating the cottage the way you did. Carmen and i were amazed and had a wonderful time taking in the sights and your property. We will recommend to others.

Great house, great location, great host!

We very much enjoyed our stay! Amy thought of everything from brochures,maps, stocked kitchen and bathroom, plenty of towels, cute decor for sale, games, etc. The location is close enough to Sheboygan, Kohler, Port Washington - we hit them all! In the summer, we would have parked ourselves at the beach. Gorgeous! The walk to the entrance is 1/4 mile down the drive.

This was great get away from it all, while still being close enough to be as exciting as you want your vacation to be. We enjoyed doing many puzzles in front of the fire, the local state parks and more than one area supper club along with a walk on the beach from the cottage on our first night. The owners are extremely responsive and helped me by suggesting Best buy or allowing for an Amazon delivery when I realized, more than half way to our destination, that I forgot my fitbit charger. We would absolutely spend time here again. Thank you!

PERFECT spot for a little getaway. Adorable cottage with everything thought of. We enjoyed our time! Not as close to the lake as we would have liked as it was a bit of a walk around to the public access. Thank you for the hospitality!

Cozy winter getaway

We just love everything about this place! It's super clean, beautifully decorated (and so festive around the holidays!), cozy, comfortable and in such a peaceful location. The hosts are always great too. This is our third time coming around the holidays and we always look forward to it. Maybe this year we'll try to go in the summer too :)

We had an amazing girl's weekend at the cottage. The home was immaculate and we loved that it was walking distance to the beach. It was the perfect size for us and it was even decorated for the holidays. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area!

Perfect Fall Family Getaway

We absolutely loved our stay at the Sandalwood Cottage. We are a family of 5 (kids ages 5,4&2) and this was the perfect location! The house had everything we needed (kitchen supplies, towels, laundry, etc) it was exceptionally clean and close to all of the main Sheboygan attractions. We loved Bookworm Gardens and Above and Beyond Children’s Museum (both less than 15 minutes away). The yard was absolutely gorgeous and our kids had so much fun exploring the woods and playing on the swing set/tree house. Amy’s communication exceeded our expectations. She was so kind and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Cozy family stay for races

Loved our stay. Wish we could have used the fireplace or fire pit but our stay just wasn’t long enough! It’s about 25-30 min to Road America which was fine for us. Plenty of room. Comfortable beds, pillows and blankets! Pretty wooded setting. Will look to book again if going to area!

Cottage by the Lake

This is our third time staying at this location. Every time has been a positive experience. We love the close proximity to state parks and the nice backyard. The only negative was a neighbor who was doing concrete work while we were there. This was only one day thankfully and definitely not something the owners could have controlled. We would definitely stay at this cottage again.

Lovely house

We enjoyed our stay. We created meaningful memories here. I would like to visit again! I did have one misunderstanding with the listing. When it stated 300 feet from the lake and showed a picture of a trail, I thought our property had lake access 300 feet away. Although the lake was 300 feet away, it was someone else’s private property. We were able to enjoy the lake, however, at the public access down the street.

Woods Plus Water = Relaxation

My wife and I were looking for a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of our working lives. We found the perfect place, a “Tranquil Cottage in the Woods with Lake Michigan only 300 feet away.” The perfect combination of the beautiful woods and the lapping/crashing waves of Lake Michigan gave us a relaxing weekend. The cottage was immaculately clean and well furnished. We highly recommend this home away from home.
