"Mahana House was a lovely, well-appointed lodging. The room was very spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the comfy robes, lanai for morning coffee and evening cocktails, and the yummy fruit we picked on the farm. The shared kitchen and laundry had everything we might have overlooked. "We were delighted with Honoka'a and enjoyed an evening at a ranch west of Waimea, day trips to Kona, Hilo, a tropical garden, Hilo Farmer's market, and Captain Cook monument (for two of us hikers). The accommodations were great for 6 adults. Also enjoyed the oranges off the tree in the backyard."

"This is a great place to stay to get away from it all! Close enough to Hilo to get back into the all of you want. We also wound up driving north around the island to the west side a bit more than towards Hilo. Just sitting on the porch and looking out at the sky & ocean was so peaceful. Wish we had better weather. Got 1.5 sunrises and one night starry sky out of 7 nights but, that was only the fault of Mother Nature. Still so peaceful in the rain. "Dale’s Vintage Farmhouse was just perfect. We stayed 8 days, using the farmhouse as our home base while we enjoyed the island. Our last day we rested at the farmhouse, just savoring the sights and sounds. Fresh squeezed oj, coquis chirping, gentle breezes blowing. We will truly miss this place."

"I know it's cliche, but I truly wish I could give Bev and Gerry more than five stars. Their property is stunning - we spent half a day just roaming the beautiful grounds, seeing the plants and animals. It's incredibly secluded and felt like we were in our very own tropical paradise. Bev and Gerry are outstanding hosts and do everything they can to make the place welcoming and comfortable. I highly recommend staying here, and hope we can make it back one day."

"My husband and I so enjoyed our stay in the Pineapple Cottage at Hulili Farm. While the location made sight-seeing around the island easy, we often opted to stay in and enjoy the sound of the rain on the roof and the sway of the hanging bed on the lanai. We hope to come back again soon!"

"My husband, five year old and I stayed here for 3 days. We really enjoyed our stay! It was a beautiful open floor plan, artistic decor with big slider windows leading out to the patio. At night there was a wonderful cross breeze and sounds of geckos and coqui frogs floating on that breeze. It was in a convenient spot, not directly in town but close enough to go out for food, drinks, beaches, etc. The owners were kind and quiet. "We did enjoy our stay with some minor improvements needed. Number one impressive kitchen from photos but oven and cooktop were difficult to operate. We never did get either ovens to work. Poorly out fitted no vegetable peeler or box grater. Blender was broken and three chipped wine glasses only. This was rectified within 24 hours. No plastic ware for outdoor pool area. BBQ only had one propane tank with no spare to be found. Given the distance back to Hilo and the fact that ovens didn’t work...

"We loved this place so much! Thoughtful furnishings, a very nice house, but best of all is the location! We saw whales, stars, goats, wild pigs, sunrises, ships and barges, beautiful waves, and fruit trees. It was peaceful and quiet—away from all the people and bustle. But a quick trip to Hilo and other small towns with amenities. Perfect location to go to Volcanoes or just anywhere on the island."

"Hotel bem localizado e estrutura geral boa, porém encontra-se degradado, sem reformas, dando aspecto de abandono. Serviço de camareira péssimo, não colocou toalhas de banho por 2x, tendo que reclamar por elas, entrou no quarto e não retirou o lixo, não arrumou as camas alegando que tinha objeto pessoal em cima dela. Cafeteira do quarto quebrada. Uma das recepcionistas excelente, as demais são razoáveis."
