The Lighthouse RV- Beautiful views- Boston Harbor I Olympia

If RVs are your style, this is one you will love! Located on beautiful Puget Sound in Olympia, WA, you will enjoy panoramic views, a quiet neighborhood, a clean and enjoyable space to stay, and plenty to do. Our travel trailer is 26', with a fully covered RV carport, and a large pop out for the table and love seat areas. It has a very comfortable Queen bed, full hookups, a functioning kitchen to cook if you desire, free Roku TV, high speed wifi, and A/C. The bathroom is especially roomy for an RV, and includes a nice sized shower that you can actually move in, with extra towels as needed.

The space:

Please note that owners/ host live onsite in the main house. The RV is parked in the driveway, under a nice carport that protects the trailer. There is plenty of privacy, hosts keep blinds drawn, and you have access to everything in the back yard, and deck areas.

The yard, deck, and fire pit areas are a shared space, and all are open access during your stay. (the fire pit is weather-depending in case of high winds)

Important note-- We do have 1 (one) motion activated flood light/ camera attached to the home for security purposes. This is aimed only towards the street, driveway and parking area across the street. We also have 3 (three) cameras inside of our home, active if we are away. None of them are aimed towards the deck or outside areas, only our inside space to monitor who comes in or out. You will always have 100% privacy during your stay.

Guest access:
Guests can access the parking area and driveway, RV, deck and backyard areas.

Other things to note:

1. Pets- We have two indoor/ outdoor cats. While they don’t access the RV, they do roam around our property. If you have allergies please take note before you book. They are very friendly and will not bother you. Please keep at least the screen door closed at all times on the front entry to the RV so they don’t wander in curiously.

2. Cooking- Stove works great, but we prefer the oven to not be used in the trailer due to the lighting procedure of it.

3. Security Camera on driveway aimed towards street (details listed above).

4. Deck and BBQ- Cooking utensils are provided in the drawers of the RV

This was a beautiful property for two people. The RV was immaculate, and well provisioned. The outdoor space was beautiful, with unobstructed views of the harbor. If you’re a walker or hiker, this is a beautiful place for both. Dan was a wonderful host. I would go back here again if I’m ever in the area.

Great little place at an affordable price. Much more than expected for an RV rental. Quiet, beautiful view, walking distance to county park and beach, great communication from owner. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back soon.

Fabulous Sunset

We stayed here the last night of our WA vacation. It was perfect. We had everything we needed and the communication was spot on. We enjoyed a fabulous sunset in the beautiful outdoor seating area and even got to meet Hoku, the owners’ kitty cat. Would highly recommend!

Tranquil place with stunning view over the bay

We stayed for 2 nighth during our motorbike trip in Washington. The RV had everything we needed and owners gave us as much privacy as possible - we enjoyed the teracce with BBQ every evening.

Great Stay!

Dan and his wife were very communicative, friendly, and accommodating. They made the check in/check out process easy and the stay enjoyable. The RV itself is very charming and spacious, and had waters, coffee, ice, and chocolates inside for us. The views from the property are stunning and the backyard has lots of nice sitting spaces! I recommend staying here and would like to return again.

Kind and peaceful

It was a short stay, but it was easy check-in and check-out. The hosts were kind and supportive. The RV was spacious (including the bathroom), easy to get around in and had everything I could need. Though I did not have time to enjoy the porch or fire pit, it was right there, and the view is amazing. This place is a no brainer.

Highly recommend - Comfortable stay in a picturesque setting

The trailer is very spacious and comfortable. It was very clean. We cooked dinner one night in the trailer and had everything we needed. The area is beautiful and close to the water with spectacular views all around. Dan was very timely in responding to any questions.

Fantastic location and wonderful hosts

We loved our stay in Dan's trailer - holy cow that view!! We loved lounging in the chairs watching the sun set and were even joined by one of their cats who also appreciated the view. The trailer is in great condition and was very comfortable. The reclining chairs were so nice to sit in with the breeze from the waters coming in the windows and screened door. The bed was comfortable and we found everything we needed in the kitchen. The neighborhood was beautiful. We walked down to the marina for a bite to eat which was convenient and pretty. We drove into downtown Olympia to walk around and for dinner one night. Got fresh oysters and a wonderful dinner at Chelsea's which we would highly recommend! Dan and his wife were so wonderful and great with communication. Would definitely stay here again!

Sunset on Budd Inlet

Lovely cozy stay in well-appointed and clean RV with access to deck and grounds with fabulous view across the inlet, lucky to have a glorious sunset for my brief stay. Dan was super nice and had the RV A/C going for my visit on a very hot day. Nice neighborhood and close to parks and other sights.

Beautiful spot/Horrible experience

Our first interactions with Dan were pleasant and he seemed welcoming. The trailer is new and pretty nice if crowded for four (I know it is ideally meant for two). The only issues we had we some dirty/greasy dishes pulled out of the cabinet and running out of hot water in the shower. I don't think we were to blame at all as my wife took a quick shower and I took mine over an hour later and got about 3 minutes of hot water. The same thing happened the second night. Moving on, Dan's complaints about our noise (stomping, jumping, running) began the first night. It was hard to believe Dan was feeling vibrations from our movements in his house. We have two energetic kids and we told Dan we would work with them to tone down any running and jumping. That was the start of the feeling like we had to walk on eggshells so as to not disturb our host. Dan confronted me about the noise the second morning. At one point he perked up and said 'like that noise just now'. It was my wife washing dishes. The worst experience occurred the second evening. After returning from an outing my son had a meltdown. It was loud and he was loud. After things had calmed Dan called and asked what all the noise had been. He told me his neighbors had complained to him. He told me this had never happened since he had been renting his trailer. And then he had the gall to tell me to get things under control. In my book a good parent does not control their child. Rather, they guide, comfort, and support. My wife was a nervous wreck after this last interaction. She wanted to pack up right then and drive home 2 hours in the dark. I convinced her to stay but I am not totally sure I should have. The only other thing I would add was the fact that Dan's wife was out on the deck just about every time we went out. I am pretty sure the listing mentioned that the owners tried to give renters free access to the yard. That definitely did not feel like the case.
