"A very nice historical building. Newer owner bringing it back. Beds comfortable, location to beach and down town great, however balance that with traffic activity /noise being on a corner lot. Having earlier serving to continental breakfast is an opportunity."

"Clean rooms, very friendly staff. The breakfast was great. The location was easy access to the beach and had beautiful views. We also were able to walk to lunch and for mini golfing. Unfortunately our only complaint is the town enforced curfew where everyone had to be inside by 9pm. It was no fault of the hotel but it did make the hotel very loud Saturday night (it was quiet Sunday). The hotel itself was secure but we were definitely nervous. "

Room was a little small and would have appreciated a half bathroom in the main area for the kids but these are small quibbles. We had a full kitchen with a stove and a dishwasher. "Expedia gives this an 8.6 but is extremely deceptive about this stay. First, I received a call from the owners prior to check in asking what time specifically I would be checking in. They clearly don't stay in the office unless needed. As soon as I arrived, the owner walked my fiancé and I to our cottage with a very brief tour and then went straight back inside his home which was right next to ours. "The staff was a exceptional. Beach access was great. We only had two issues. One was cosmetic repairs - the ceiling had been repaired and the patched area was painted a slightly different color. They should have painted the entire ceiling. Also, there was some missing tile in bathroom and sloppy caulking around sink. The second issue was the mandatory valet parking.
