When booked as Okere Bush Retreat, no other guests will be staying in the three accommodations.



Each home has its own entrance, allowing members of your group to come and go independently.



Self check-in is available via key safes, with arrival instructions provided before your stay.



ACCESS INFORMATION



Tui Cottage is accessed from the sealed driveway off Okere Road and sits slightly below driveway level.



Kākāriki Tiny House is reached via stairs and an illuminated timber boardwalk.



Kowhai Studio has parking directly in front of the studio, with its private bathroom located in a separate pod across the courtyard.



Please note that some areas of the property require navigating stairs or changes in level.

From Okere Bush Retreat, you can walk to the Kaituna River and explore the beautiful Okere Falls Scenic Reserve, including the famous Tutea Falls lookout.



Cross the nearby footbridge to reach the popular Okere Falls Store, known for its excellent coffee, delicious food, craft beer garden and welcoming atmosphere.



For those seeking adventure, Rotorua Rafting and Rotorua Ziplining are also within walking distance.



Lake Rotoiti is just a short drive away, offering boating, kayaking, swimming and trout fishing.

• Okere Bush Retreat accommodates a maximum of eight guests across three separate homes.

• The property has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, two full kitchens and one kitchenette.

• The three homes are separate buildings rather than one large house. Guests will need to walk outdoors when moving between accommodations.

• The largest indoor dining table seats six, so there is no single indoor dining area seating all eight guests together.

• Kowhai Studio has a private bathroom pod approximately 3 metres from the studio entrance. Guests must step outside to access the toilet and shower.

• Kākāriki Tiny House is accessed via two sets of stairs and a timber boardwalk.

• Tui Cottage has an upstairs bedroom and yoga room accessed by internal stairs.

• The outdoor sauna is electric, with operating instructions provided.

• The outdoor spa bath is heated and ready for your arrival.

• The property uses collected rainwater stored in tanks.

• Free off-street parking is available. Please park considerately and keep access areas clear.

• The retreat is located in an established residential community. Please respect neighbouring properties and keep noise to a reasonable level, particularly during the evening.



Although the three homes provide wonderful flexibility and privacy, guests should be comfortable moving between separate buildings and navigating the property's outdoor pathways.
