"Wonderful house in Twizel. Clean, spacious, in a quiet neighborhood. Bit far to walk to town center, but just a 2-3 minute drive. Only downside was they told us after making the reservation that there were no toiletries (e.g. shower wash & shampoo). Internet password was out of date but they were very responsive in providing updated info so not a big deal."

"We stayed one night in winter. The house was warm on arrival and the wood stove added to the pleasure of our stay. Everything was clean and we enjoyed our stay. "

"Nice little house in a good location. Even though it's small, there's plenty of extra space for kids to play in the garage. Communication from the host was fantastic. Only marked it down a little as a few things were a little bit grubby."

"This was our favorite stay in New Zealand. Comfortable house in the cute town of Twizel with lots of dining options, two grocery stores, amazing stars, and convenient to Mt Cook. The house is in a neighborhood so a bit tricky to find at night, but very comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen and a good set up for a family. My only suggestions would be to add lamps (why do New Zealanders hate bedside lamps??) and maybe a few DVDs (after a long day of hiking, would have been nice to watch a...

"Once you check in then you probably don't wanna go out. Nice, warm,and cosy."

"Due to Lindas pass closed we came up the coastal road great trip up. weather was fine but cold -2 most nights. done our fishing, site seeing as usual had a good break away the house is just like a small home away from home for us and have stayed many times."

"This house was perfect for our 2 families. Had everything we needed with plenty of space inside and out. The location was perfect to town, cafes, parks etc. Great communication with property manager. we would definitely stay again. "

"We stayed here for a group ski trip. Went to Ohau during the days and came home to the lovely home to warm up. It was spacious, inviting, had everything we needed including lots of puzzles and games. Would absolutely recommend this place for those looking to find accomodation for a bigger group - it was perfect! Thank you to the lovely hosts "

"The Black Box was a perfect stopping point on our tour of the South Island. Clean, comfortable, and conveniently located, it was a perfect two day stop for us to visit the Mount Cook glacier, enjoy the Twizel area, and just relax. The home was exactly as you see it online. Great place. "

"Beautiful house, modern and well maintained. All the amenities you need for families and utensils to cook hearty family meals.
