"Clean, with great amenities for our fishing trip. Exactly as pictured and a good fit for our party of 6. Upstairs bathroom a big plus, tho water pressure limited showering up there. Responsive and helpful host. So glad we found this listing!Panfish aplenty in mid July.... Didn't see a bass or a muskie but did land a nice pike! "

"We had such an amazing, relaxing time at this rental. The beach and swimming area were perfect for the kids, there was enough space for everyone to spread out in the house, and the property is so close to The Windmill, Tilted Loon, and walking paths. The fire pit area was amazing as well. I loved everything about this property and would go back every year if I could! I’m only bummed that it’s booked so far in advance! Hopefully we’ll be able to stay here again. It’s absolutely amazing :)"

"Despite the record heat, the AC kept the cabin cool and the lake was a great way to cool off outside. Loved the historic but well equipped kitchen. The only comment would be there is no internet or cell service. But for me that is a plus."

"This little cabin was perfect for our trip. The beds were cozy and comfy me and my husband both slept great. It’s right on a small lake where we kayaked. We plan to be back with the kids. Also the campground itself was the most peaceful campground we’ve ever been to, we had the windows open the whole time and never heard a peep from the neighbors. "

"It had been a tough year for our family, and we were badly in need of a getaway surrounded by loved ones and the beauty of nature. The Red Door Lodge was the perfect prescription. The octagonal, log house has a feel of authenticity yet with all the modern conveniences. "We had a fantastic short getaway. The house and location are fantastic, the area is full of fun things to do and great places to visit and dine. Our host was tremendous, recommending great places for dinner and making us feel very welcome. Next time we’ll stay longer and bring the boat since the home has a private slip."

"The house was beautiful and perfect for our family. We had kids from 1 mo- 6 years old. The house has so many unique details including bunk beds that would work even for adults. I especially enjoyed drinking my coffee on the dock in the morning and kayaking. The kitchen was fully stocked including even Tupperware. "Second year staying at this property! Very clean with a great up north vibe. We had a group of 15. Mostly adults, two teenagers and three kids under 10. We loved hanging on the back patio and the bar area in the back porch! Made full use of brick pizza oven and made homemade pizza one night. Lake Nokomis has many great swimming spots but did take advantage of the boat house and pier’s for another spot to swim! Definitely would recomend!"

"My husband and I stayed in cabin 1 for the weekend. Quaint, clean and everything was as stated in the listing. Would recommend. The lake was beautiful. It was nice to have a dock there to fish off of. We rented the pontoon for the day and the person we needed to contact for rental etc was very helpful and host was very helpful as well! Answered any questions we had right away. All in all we enjoyed our weekend very much! Thank you!"
