"Wow I love this hotel, we booked a city night view room. That was amazing !!! You can see all the beautiful city view through the room window. That's a very nice experience. The room is extremly clean and the shower room and restroom is seperate so very privancy which is amazing. The shower head is good. I love this hotel and definitely will come back!!!!! And the bar is super nice too!!!"

"Staying at the Independence was a great experience. It’s a lovely hotel with a great staff. And the area can’t be beat. You can walk downtown, to the river, to the park. The rooftop patio is beautiful and my kids and I saw the osprey nest AND got to watch the osprey leaving the nest and returning. Shout out to Kathryn (the one who spells her name with a k and y) at the front desk. She had infinite patience with me and with my children! "

"We were very happy with our room. It was beautiful, very clean and looked to be newly remodeled. The motel is pet friendly (we have 2 dogs) and have a very reasonable pet charge. The grounds are mostly paved with lots of traffic as there is a gas station and truck stop on the same lot but there were a couple of small grass areas for dogs to use which I thought was a very nice touch.
