BEACHFRONT COTTAGE LOWER UNT ON THE STRAND IN OCEANSIDE, TWO-BED AND ONE-BATH

This gorgeous lower unit two-bedroom, one-bathroom beachfront cottage is located on the Strand in Oceanside, California. Only steps from the ocean, you will enjoy an AMAZING full ocean view. Only steps from the beach, keep an eye out for the dolphins playing in the ocean and beautiful sunsets. Enjoy our beautiful outdoor spa that looks out onto the ocean, spa is shared with upper unit. This lower unit is a spacious one-bedroom cottage that sleeps five people comfortably with a queen size bed in the bedroom and two futons in the living room. The unit also comes with a full kitchen and family room. There are flatscreen televisions in both the bedroom and the living room. The unit also comes with a full bathroom with shower, and walk-in closet in the bedroom. The French-doors of the family room open up to the beautiful ocean view and ocean breeze. Enjoy shared driveway and private parking for one vehicle, street parking is available for more vehicles. Please don't hesitate to call if you have any questions about parking. There is also a beautiful outside shower. Located in the heart of coastal Oceanside, you will find everything you need within blocks of this property. You will be within walking distance from the bustling nightlife of downtown Oceanside and Oceanside Harbor. If you feel like heading downtown San Diego, hop on the Coaster train which is located within blocks of this vacation property. This lower unit is also equipped with a large shared outside patio with seating area and bar, perfect to watch the sunset. There are plenty of activities nearby for the whole family! ASK OWNER FOR INFO ON OUR PRIVATE AIRPORT VALET. Dogs are allowed but they cannot be over 40 lbs or the guests will be asked to leave. Breed restrictions apply, please clear pets with owner before booking. The pet fee is a non-refundable $100 per dog.

Didn’t use the hot tub but it was up and running and very warm. Great home super comfortable beds! Host was responsive and quick to reply to any messages! Loved our stay and will be back!!! 5 stars!!!!

Great location! The place is more worn than the pictures provided. If you are a person who needs continuity then this place is not for you…multiple flooring options that can really distract you, but again this is just an aesthetic that can be easily looked over. The major issue was the upstairs unit, handled by management but still the people were extremely disruptive which affected our stay. Parking was tricky. There are 2 clearly marked spots for upper and lower units. When we checked in the people occupying the upper unit were in the lower unit spot. When they left we were able to park in our designated spot, but the next guest parked in front of our car so we couldn’t leave. We had to go upstairs and ask them to move their truck….not a huge deal but maybe if the hosts removed 1/2 hot tubs it could accomodate better parking options as I assume neither of the guests wanted to park right in front of the lower unit. Also, downstairs unit needs better privacy. The curtains downstairs main room don’t cover the door and in the primary bedroom there are some broken blinds that don’t give full privacy. The place is perfectly located and equipped with everything. Mixed reviews were really because of the disruptive guests and parking. Otherwise the place is completely adequate for a beach weekend.

Was a lovely week at Ray's Bungalow! Enjoyed the ocean view, people watching, sun bathing, bike riding andj long walks. The hot tubs were a special treat along with the shower! Ray was quick to respond when we asked for a couple things. Definitely plan on coming back!

Overall this was great and we would come back! I do wish there was a little bit more in the kitchen, in way of supplies to cook for my kids.. One sheet pan, some tin foil, etc. I went to the little bodega around the corner and had to buy some foil. The 2 hottubs were open 24-7 which felt a little weird to me.. I closed them for energy efficiency but then they were re-opened by the property owners, so clearly that's how they wanted it. We didn't know if one hottub was for a specific unit (there are two units and two hottubs), so my kids went back and forth between the 2. They loved it, so that's what mattered most. I did try to reach out when we got there because the wifi router/password that was posted was different in two different spots in the house, and then neither worked. I never heard back from the property owners about it, but luckily figured it out on my own. Overall it was great location, and we'd totally stay there again. It felt safe and was exactly what we needed for this trip.

Friends Beach Weekend

We were 4 friends (2 couples) and we enjoyed our Oceanside Beach weekend. Comfortable and relaxed. Easy check in and great location. Direct view to ocean and short walk to Beach or market. Unit was clean and big enough for 4 of us to enjoy time together or quiet if we wanted. Furniture has seen a bit of wear and was mix and match in style which is typical if a rental. But all was comfortable and all linens new and clean. Limited kitchen ware if you are planning on cooking. Asked for a propane tank and it was brought right away. Hot tubs were both working and on - a nice spot on the cool mornings.Great value for location. We would come back again.

Prime location!

We loved staying in this bottom unit! It’s like 10 feet from the beach. Literally the owner was very responsive and accommodating and had everything you needed to cook meals do laundry, etc. we will definitely be coming back!

Beach getaway

The location was perfect for our needs. Owners have been doing a lot of upgrades apparently. Beds were comfy, linens were lovely and lots of towels and beach towels. The kitchen was not equipped for anything but the simplest cooking yet. But when we called our hostess to report that I was cooking soup for dinner on our night of arrival and there was only one single bowl to eat from, she dropped everything and delivered 8 soup bowls immediately. I would be happy to rent this unit again! Thank you!

Great birthday!

We had a great time! You can't beat the view ! Cottage had everything we needed for a nice relaxing 5 days..Loved sitting out on the strand and watching and people go by. Thank you so much to jessica for making our stay even better she is a very hard worker and if we needed a ything she would go out of her way to make sure we got it ..And Ray was a great host! We had a great stay. The property is perfect for a family or couple on a beach stay. It has a comfortable seating area near the strand with a fire pit to enjoy sunsets. Perfect for beach days!

Dirty and rundown, owner had his friend using the upstairs unit for having a birthday party with 30 plus people so we were robbed of using the outdoor space and enjoying the beach. in looking at prior reviews. he has done the same thing to other renters several times

Overall we had a nice time and it's a great unit and location. Owner and property manager have excellent communication skills and helped us with everything we needed. Spoke with the owner and he is planning to make updates to the unit and outdoor area. The shower is beautiful and you can’t beat the location.

Owner has terrible business ethics. Checked out early!

We were scheduled to stay 7 nights in this shared unit. Upon arrival after 3 pm as requested the owner was onsite doing some landscaping, he promptly left but also left behind his mess. The unit overall was clean but left a lot to be desired considering the price point. New guests arrived for the upper unit nearly 40 minutes early, the cleaning lady let them know the unit was not available until 3 pm. They continued to take over the property 45 minutes early, they had 9 people show up and half of them using the hot tub prior to check in time. We were later informed by one of the guests that their buddy owned the property. In reality only 4 of the 9 people had actually rented the unit. The non-guests stayed until dark and were back again at 8 am the following morning. It was completely rude and disrespectful of the owners' friends to be so disruptive of other guests as well as check in times. The upper unit checked out and no cleaning crew arrived that afternoon, giving us the impression there were no new guests checking into the upper unit that day, however the owner did arrive and just appeared to be hanging out while he had the lower unit still occupied. later unknown people were sent by the owner to close the doors he had left open and take out the trash, those people arrived at 8 pm and jumped in the hot tub we had just finished using. then a cleaning crew arrived at 5 am on day 3 of our stay, we checked out on day 3 of 7 of random people being on property at all hours.

Wonderful location

We had a wonderful time, the views were amazing and the area was very nice. The house had everything we needed to make our stay feel like home. The owner is great and very responsive to any questions we had. I will definitely come back in the future. Thanks for the great memories me and my family made.
