Marlin House is a charming three-bedroom, two-bathroom retreat that sleeps up to 8 guests - pets welcome! Enjoy the cosy gas log fire, a unique loft-style master bedroom, and a secure yard perfect for families. Relax on the deck under twinkling fairy lights or take a scenic 10-minute stroll to the beach and shops. A perfect blend of comfort and convenience for your next getaway!
This comfortable and spacious family retreat will be the ideal base for your next stay in the stunning beachside town of Ocean Grove! The beach is a 10-minute walk away and the closest shopping center is just 3 minutes away.
On entry level, we have a large open plan living space with adjoining laundry and bathroom plus two bedrooms. There is a front balcony which will provide a great space to enjoy a morning coffee and out the back we have a large, enclosed yard with multiple deck spaces to dine or relax and plenty of room for the kids to play. Pets will be right at home and safe in the secure yard. Upstairs is a unique and spacious loft, complete with sitting space and views out to the ocean through the side window, plus an ensuite.
BED CONFIGURATION: - Master bedroom upstairs in the loft - queen bed - plus ensuite - Bedroom 2 - queen bed - Bedroom 3 - tri-bunk plus single bed - Downstairs bedrooms are serviced by the main bathroom with shower, bath, toilet and vanity - All bed linen and towels are supplied, please BYO beach towels
OTHER PROPERTY FEATURES: - Unlimited Wi-Fi and smart TV - Gas log fire in the lounge, ideal for those winter nights - Split system heating and cooling in the living room, bedrooms have fans for added comfort - Well equipped kitchen, with all kitchen basics supplied - Laundry has a washing machine and dryer - Outdoor deck space with BBQ and plenty of space for kids and pets to play
PARKING: - This great property is nestled up a slightly steep driveway with carport at the top, enough room for up to two cars to park.
PETS: - Pets are most welcome but we please ask that pets do not go on beds or other furniture. - Please BYO pet beds, bowls and toys - Please clean up after your pets prior to checkout
LOCAL ATTRACTIONS: - Adventure Park is an amzing day out for the family and only a ten-minute drive away - The main beach at Ocean Grove is patrolled and a great spot for families to enjoy a day at the beach - Just over the bridge at Barwon Heads, there is a great swimming spot where the playground is. Perfect spot for kids where the river meets the ocean. - Fishing - walking tracks - golfing etc - lots of great spots over the Bellarine Peninsula! - Wineries and dining - the Bellarine Peninsula has some outstanding wineries to visit, along with some great restaurants - please reach out to your host for some outstanding local recommendations! - The gateway to the Great Ocean Road is a short drive away - looking for a day trip? Cannot recommend this day trip enough!
HOUSE RULES: - You must be over the age of 25 to book this property - STRICTLY no hens/bucks, schoolies or parties of any type - Our quiet hours are between 10pm and 8am - No smoking GENERAL: All bookings are accepted on the basis that you have read, understood, and agree to abide, and be bound, by the Terms and Conditions and House Rules. Please treat our home as if it were your own. Please be respectful to our lovely neighbors. Strictly NO smoking at this property. Our home is NOT suitable for Schoolies, hens or bucks parties. You must be over the age to 25 to make reservation at our property. Please follow parking guidelines where provided.
CHECK IN/ OUT: Check-in time is not before 3pm on the arrival date and check out time is not later than 10am on departure date. Late departure is subject to prior arrangement/availability and extra charges will apply. Failure to check out at the agreed time will incur a fee of $110 per hour. Check in and check out, contactless check in will be provided with key safe codes. Keys must be returned to the key safe upon checking out. If the keys are not placed back in the lock box a management fee will apply for us to allow housekeeping staff access to the property and if required replacement of keys.
COOKING: cooking of curries or other strong foods in this home will incur a $450 deep Cleaning fee due to the intense cleaning required to remove smells between short term stay guests.
THIS PROPERTY DOES ACCEPT PETS- the rear yard is fully enclosed, you must pick up after your pet. Maximum 2 dogs upon agreement only. No Pets inside the home apart from the garage for sleeping and must not under any circumstances be left inside the home unattended or go upstairs at all , to protect the polished floorboards. You understand you are responsible for damages caused by your pet, extra cleaning charges if there is evidence of a pet inside the home or for cleaners required to pick up dog poo from the yard.
UNAVAILABLITY: If the property becomes unavailable for your occupancy due to unforeseen circumstances (eg. fire, storm, damage, etc) then we will inform you immediately and endeavour to obtain suitable alternative accommodation for your stay, if we are unable to do so, all money paid will be refunded in full. Host on the coast will not be liable for additional accommodation costs in the event of these unforseen unavoidable circumstances.
PARTIES & FUNCTIONS: Parties are strictly prohibited. Breach of this will result in immediate eviction without refund and extra charges will apply for any additional, cleaning, garbage removal, repairs which may ocurr. We have the right to evict any guest during their stay if WE deem them to be in breach of the house rules. THIS PROPERTY IS STRICTLY NO SCHOOLIES. There should be no disturbance to neighbors at anytime during your stay.
LINEN AND TOWELS: We supply all bed linen and towels. They must be left where supplied in the bedrooms or bathroom on departure. Further linen may be hired upon request prior to arrival. Properties with pools will include pool towels for your stay. Any damage or stains requiring additional laundering or replacement of linen will incur a charge or replacement fee. Stays longer than 1 week may request a housekeeping service for cleaning and/or linen servicing charged at a fee. Stays longer than 2 weeks will incur a mandatory housekeeping service for an additional fee-please check what this is before booking. Failure to accept this after check in will be seen as a breach of the house rules and may result in termination of your booking without refund.
YOUR OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: You are responsible for damage, breakages, theft and loss of the property and any part of it during your stay. You must notify us of this immediately if damages occur. We may recover from you repair or replacement costs. Occupancy must not exceed the agreed number booked for or the maximum listed as occupancy in the house description. Disturbance to our neighbors, including excessive noise at anytime (day or night), is prohibited and may result in termination and eviction without refund and extra charges may be made for security and other expenses. Noise should not be heard from outside the property after 10pm. Call outs: Lost keys/lock outs will incur a $100 call out fee for management to provide access plus the cost of replacement keys if required.
Upon departure, all food must be removed from fridges, all rubbish put in the appropriate council rubbish bins provided, crockery and cutlery washed and packed away, dishwasher emptied. If there is a BBQ onsite, it must be cleaned after use, failure will incur a $100 fee. You are responsible for removing any excess rubbish that does not fit in the outside bins. Excess rubbish charges will apply for any rubbish that is left behind (exceeds rubbish bin capacity). The Property must be left in a clean and tidy condition. Extra cleaning charges will be incurred for the cleaning (but not limited to) of dirty dishes, dishwasher emptying, emptying the fridge, removal of excessive rubbish and so forth. All furniture and furnishings must be left in the position they were in when you arrived. Smoking is not permitted in the Property. A $400 fee will be applied to any property found to have been smoked in. No illicit drugs to be brought onto the property or persons under the influence to be allowed onto the property. You must allow repair/service access to the property during reasonable hours. Host on the Coast is not liable for any damage or loss of property during your stay.
