Sunset Island 44 is a beautiful pastel, neo-Victorian townhouse located in a gated community. This five-bedroom, four and a half-bathroom is the fifth house from the bay on the quiet side of the island. This townhouse is the perfect place for you and your family to call home for a week! Sunset Island 44 is one of Ocean City's finest vacation rentals.

The living room is furnished with two couches, side chairs, and a 50" 4K LG TV. One couch doubles as a queen-size sleep sofa. Right off the living room is a dining area, perfect for cozy meals with the family. Next to the dining area is the kitchen with a confectionary oven and an island, just right for grabbing a quick bite. The counters are all granite, the appliances stainless steel. This house is perfect for two families. There are two master suites, each with private bathrooms and luxury king beds. On the entrance level, there is a queen-size bed with a luxury mattress. It also features a bathroom with a shower. The second floor is open with balconies on each end. The front balcony has a beautiful view of the sunset over the bay. The third floor master bedroom and two bedrooms share a bathroom. One bedroom has two singles that can be pushed together to make a king. Each bedroom has its own TV. This property comfortably sleeps up to twelve people, so bring the whole family!

Sunset Island 44 has the following amenities: central air conditioning, three parking spaces, six TVs, free WiFi, streaming TVS, full-size washer and dryer, refrigerator, ice maker, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, stove, disposal, and a dishwasher.

Sunset Island is the premier resort on the Eastern Shore. Guarded by 24-hour security and noise control, you'll feel safe all week long! Each street is lined with sidewalks. There is music and other entertainment in the restaurant, an indoor and outdoor pool, an interactive fountain, three private beaches, a fitness center, and more! Six facility passes provided. Additional passes are $70 each at the Sunset Island clubhouse.

Issues

Overall, the place was ok. Had trouble getting the TV's to work, there were a couple of the bedrooms that had no cable service. Ceiling fans in the bedrooms were not working. Found that the overall cleanliness was just ok. Out of all the places that I have rented in that community this one was the most disappointing. I would not rent this unit again.

Wonderful Vacation

Nice sized property in great neighborhood. We had 2 families, 10 people total, and had plenty of room. If you are looking for a place close to, but not in the middle of all the action, this location is great. Daily dose of sunsets recommended!

Neglected property

We have stayed at sunset Island before and had great experiences, however, this experience left a lot to be desired. First of all, the place was disgusting and looked as of it had not been cleaned. There was blood on walls and the floor was gross. Parts of the house smelled of pee. The rugs and furniture was disgusting for what we paid for the weekly rental. The rugs were brown and dirty and the furniture brown and dingy. It was gross. There were ants all over the house and in the top floor bedroom (4th floor). How do ants get into a bedroom??? I have never experienced that and no food was ever eaten anywhere but the kitchen. There was black mold in bathrooms and lightbulbs out. There was no outdoor shower or hose. The garage door was broken. For what is charged on a week stay, I expected the rental to be professionally cleaned. The location is good and community fine, but I didn't want to keep staying in this place. I wanted a refund. Called property manager and there was little they could offer to do. They should spend less money on the ugly decor and more on fixing that place. Do not rent this property.

Visually pretty but had a bad mold issue

First off I want to say that we really did have a good time. We love sunset island and this was the third time renting in this complex. This particular house was visually clean and looked pretty. However after a few days we all had sinus issues and noticed a very bad mold problem in almost all of the bathroom vents. There was also ants crawling around and the dirty linens from previous guests left on our porch all week. I did call and complain and was told linens would be picked up asap and Stanley steamer would come to clean out vents but neither happened. In terms of overall experience, it was adequate. It's a bit of a hike to the beach which we knew in advance and to the pool/restaurant. We loved that we were able to check in on Monday and leave Friday though! The beds were also very comfortable and no issues with the AC. I would definitely rent again in sunset island just maybe not this unit unless mold is taken care of.

Fun for all ages!

Kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes, pans and dinnerware. No need to buy any extras. Kids an adults loved the space. We had balconies only the adults used for private time. We had control of the AC. But more importantly was Sunset Island and their amenities. Lovely calm, safe beach. You can go far with the kids before it gets deep. There is an indoor and outdoor pool. The indoor pool has doors wide open to the outside but provides cover from the sun and more swimming options. Did I mention beverages would be brought to you at the beach once ordered? Because they will. Food is also top notch. Great stay. We will do it longer next time

Family atmosphere

My family and I enjoy this property and it’s location. In the fast pace place like ocean city this location is quiet and family oriented. Great place to spend time with the family. Had a minor issue with the AC but it was immediately handled by shoreline property mangers. Overall very happy with our experience

Overall Great Stay

Everything was great , from the spacious living room, kitchen, bathrooms, the garages. The only one thing we were a little bit disappointed was one of the bunk bed was broken. We were told it was broken 2 days befor our arrival. And was told they will verify with the owner if it is rentable. And then we were told it was confirmed it was fixed. First nigh my son went to sleep on it and it , one of the. At broke. We look to se what is was . There was two bars missing already .. mattress very thin. We call the office. The engineer came to fix it. We mention about the bars and the mattress situation. He came with a solution. But still it was not sleep-able We booked the house based on the bed quantity. Some how it a convenient us. My overall thought is if you knew about and it is not fixed you should not sell it as there is a bunk bed. Kids were very excited. We had fun . The walk to the beach was priceless. Thank you
