I had original booked my stay from 7-18 - 7-20. I had an appt. and tried to re-book for 7-19 - 7-21. The same day I was able to change my appt. and notified the host that we were going to stay with our original dates 7-18 - 7-20. I didn't hear back, so I sent another message to confirm. I got a confimation from the host along with a 25 charge for inconvenience . When we arrived Friday around 7:30pm I noticed there were dogs in the VRBO. I called the host to find out what was the situation and she said that she was expecting us the next day even after confirming my message to keep original dates. She then said she would not be able to get to the VRBO for another20min as she was cleaning. We had just drove over 3 hrs. I had reminded her that I had sent her a message to stay with original dates and she started to get agitated saying " I work 2 jobs, and she had me scheduled for the 21st and I clearly had the message of her confirming staying with original dates date she must not have changed her information. By this time, I was aggravated and getting ipset that she was making excuses and she then told ne at that point she didn't want me staying in her place and she would refund my money. I agreed and left the property. She was very unprofessional about the mix up. If she had too much to handle then she should evaluate her work situation and prioritize.
