Swimming pool.
The villa enjoys its own private swimming pool. Guests are however requested to ensure that a responsible adult supervises children at all times as the pool does not have a safety net or any secure enclosure that would prevent young children accessing the pool. Please refer to the pictures of the pool area listed on the website. The owners bear nor accept any liability for accidents.

The villa has a Portuguese habitation license 25939/AL issued by Turismo de Portugal. It is located within the 5* Golf and Beach estate of Praia D'El Rey on Portugal’s Silver Coast, a region renowned for its beautiful, long sandy beaches, excellent wines and seafood.

Perfect for families and golfers alike, the villa is spacious, light and tastefully decorated in a modern décor. The bedroom arrangement makes it perfect for two families or groups holidaying together, with two double en-suite bedrooms upstairs and two twin rooms downstairs, sharing another family bathroom and separate toilet. Three bedrooms have their own dedicated terrace. The villa is equipped with a baby travel cot and high chair is also provided. Bed linen and indoor towels are provided. The open-plan living and dining area faces out on to the terrace, garden and swimming pool with sun loungers. The terrace area has a traditional Portuguese brick barbecue. There is also a table-tennis table available for your leisure. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped with all modern high-end specification appliances. We kindly ask our guests to respect our no smoking policy inside the villa. The local agent will check on this and charges will be levied for deep cleaning where guests do not comply with this policy.

The Praia D'El Rey estate offers a range of things to do directly on site, making it an excellent destination for families, tennis enthusiasts and golfers alike, or if you just want to chill on the beach. On site activities include golf, tennis, swimming, surfing, cycling and running, all set in a beautiful environment. The golf course at Praia D'EL Rey - with its spectacular views over the Atlantic, is one of Europe's most stunning golf courses (voted #1 in Portugal and #13 in Europe by the Golf World Magazine in 2011). There are also three other championship golf courses in the immediate vicinity - Royal Obidos and Westcliffs newly opened in May 2017 as well as Bom Successo. All are between a 2min and 15 minute drive away.

A few minutes’ walk from the villa is the tennis centre, club house, driving range and the kids adventure club offering a wide range of activities. The beach, the Marriott hotel with its Spa and health club, restaurants and bars, are a 12 minute walk from the villa.

Off the estate is the nearby Obidos lagoon - just 10-15 mins drive away, which is a top choice for families due to it's shallow waters. The lagoon with its sweeping inlet offers a break from the waves and surf along the rest of the coast and is great for children and adults alike. Obidos lagoon is the largest sea-water lagoon in Portugal. You’ll find it popular at times, but never over-populated as it has an expansive sandy beach with a small unencroaching selection of cafes and restaurants. Visitors have access to variety of water sport activities on the lagoon including SUP, canoeing wind surfing, kite surfing and fishing.

South of the resort, just short drives away, are the magnificent beaches between Baleal and Peniche, the latter also hosts the world surfing championships. The superb surf conditions, close to shore, offers a great experience for beginners and pros alike, no matter what age you are! Board hire and group or private lessons are widely available and very affordable. It’s all about having fun in the sun in this relaxed, non-exclusive surfing community - which are equally fascinating just to watch as they catch the waves and you catch the sun on this stunning beach. You will also find a range of excellent cafe's and restaurants between Baleal and Peniche.

This region is a gem in the heart of Portugal, prized with an extraordinary concentration of history, culture, tradition, fascinating towns, beautiful museums and natural beauty. You will find olive groves and luscious vineyards with superb wines to enjoy and fine restaurants to delight in the excellent Portuguese cuisine and confectionery. The Silver Coast retains much of the flavour of the real and authentic Portugal, where local people are extremely friendly and helpful. The Silver Coast has much to offer the discerning family looking to getaway from it all and enjoy an authentic experience.

The walled medieval town of Obidos with its spectacular castle, a UNESCO world heritage site, hosts various colourful festivals, where visitors can experience the local Portuguese culture. Caldas de Rainha is famous for its food market and Lisbon is just an hour’s drive or coach trip away for a city day-trip. There are numerous walks and nature trails around the area and Berlengas Islands have incredible natural scenery with calm and crystalline waters that are renowned for diving.

Tennis
The on-site tennis centre has a good number of courts, offering equipment hire and excellent coaching for both adults and children. The qualified coaches also run a tennis academy and holiday programmes.

World-class golf
Praia D'El Rey golf course is one of Portugal's premier golf courses (voted #1 in Portugal and #13 in Europe by the Golf World Magazine in 2011). It is a links type course with fantastic views of the ocean especially on the back 9. It is very enjoyable to play and a great test of golf. There are also three other championship golf courses in the area; Royal Obidos, WestCliffs and Bom Sucesso. All are between a 2 min and 15 min drive away from the villa.
