But these were misplaced - the hotel is spotlessly clean, and run by professional, welcoming staff. "We made a last minute booking at Brambles due to an unforeseen change of plan. Alison the landlady was very friendly and helpful and the garden room was spacious and comfortable, with a good shower and breakfast. We found it by accident but would definitely book again. "

"Had a lovely clean room overlooking the river unfortunately had an issue with the heating. This was dealt with by Laura.who relocated us to another room within minutes. Overall the staff were absolutely brilliant nothing was too much trouble and the carvery on Sunday evening and breakfast on Monday morning were 1st class and good value if it wasn't so far from home we would be regular visitors "

Staff are great and the pub has a nice relaxed feel with a bar area used by the locals (Friendly) with everything you want from a country pub. Restaurant area separate from the pub with a good varied menu.the food I had was great and good value for money. I will definitely stay here again if I am in the area."

"Traditional pub building in the middle of a village. The bar was full of local people having a good time but no noise made it through to the bedroom due to very thick walls. Nice room, clean, huge bed plenty of indirect lighting and enough power points. New en suite bathroom. Very friendly but unobtrusive staff. Excellent full English breakfast."
