ā€œShore is Beautiful" is a five (5) bedroom two (2) full bathroom house (plus a 3rd large outdoor shower). Located right on the oceanfront. Enjoy the unobstructed views! See the ocean from every room in the house. Hop off the large deck and put your toes in the sand. Perfect spot for your vacation!

The house boasts an open and inviting living area with an electric fireplace and TV with Roku. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the supplies you need. There is a dishwasher and a full size washing machine and dryer.

Five bedrooms total: the 3 bedrooms downstairs include upgraded luxury pillowtop mattresses and Serta memory foam cooling pillows. The primary bedroom has a queen and full bath. Bedroom 2 has a king bed with a reading nook and a smart TV. Bedroom 3 has 2 fulls and a smart TV. Bathroom 2 includes a full bathtub + shower combination.

Upstairs you will find 2 bedrooms, one with 2 singles, and the other has a daybed with a pull out trundle and a sitting area with: TV, dvd player, games, and an XBOX.

There is high speed Internet (WiFi) throughout the house as well.

Enjoy time on the new front or side decks and listen to the waves crash. For those hot summer days, enjoy the cool sitting area under the house or hang up your eno or hammock. The large outdoor shower has hot and cold water.

There are plenty of activities in the area if enjoying the beach isn't the only thing you want to do. The town of Oak Island has tennis, pickle-ball, and basketball courts. You can also play on the soccer or baseball field or take the little ones to the splash pad. If you like to fish, it's a great place to surf fish right out your back door, head 2 miles to the pier, or try your luck on the inter-coastal waterway. There are 30 golf courses within a 45 minute drive of the island. 15 minutes away is Southport which has been voted the "Happiest Coastal Town" in the US and has great shopping and restaurants.

A cleaning fee will be added to your total when you book. You are responsible for your own linens. **** If you wish to have linens provided for you (sheets for all the beds, bath towel, hand towel, washcloth and kitchen towel) please let us know and we will add the $95 linen fee.****

Additionally: a starter of toilet paper, dish soap, laundry pods, dryer sheets, dish washer pods and paper towels are provided. Guests may need to bring more depending on the length of stay and frequency of use. Bath soap and shampoo are not provided.

Very nice house and stay

We really enjoyed the house and enjoyed our 33rd year on Oak Island. Only drawback is there was not bathroom upstairs and the outside shower could have used a lttile TLC. Other than that it was a great stay. We're renting again next May 2026. Can't wait!!!!

The house is beautiful, VERY clean, with comfortable furniture and beds. The kitchen has all the pot, pans, plates, and utensils you could need. It's in a fantastic location as well. Shelby was really nice and responsive to questions. We loved our stay!

Lovely home on the beach

Lovely home for 2 empty-nesters, 2 adult "kids," and one elderly mom. The location is amazing, right on the beach. The weather was sunny but super windy (30 mph gusts) when we visited, so our time on the beach was a bit limited to the mornings before the wind picked up. We were still able to enjoy the view from the two big patio doors in the living area. Everything we could possibly need in kitchen equipment was provided. Nice selection of beach chairs and toys as well. The owners were very quick to respond to any questions. Be aware if anyone in your group has limited mobility that there are 13 steps up either the front or the back entries. The deck appears new and is very sturdy, but it was tough for Mom. The deck includes a nice rattan seating area as well as a built-in bar with two tall chairs, some adirondack chairs, and two rockers. The two upstairs rooms would be perfect for kids, but be aware of the open-backed stairs there, too. All in all a beautiful space for family time at the beach.

Beautiful, perfect location

The property is well maintained, and overall the descriptions are just right. Opted for the linen service and that was helpful. Enjoyed coffee on the deck overlooking the water. Loved being able to just walk up and over the private path of the dune to the water. Only drawback, I did not realize nor did it say anywhere that the front doors facing the ocean are locked and not able to be opened. To be fair, they are on sliders like any other glass door. Other than that, the space is perfectly comfortable for six adults and two kids. All sorts of wonderful toys and beach items as well. Highly recommend. Fantastic communication with the management company.

We had a family get away with my parents and adult children. Great location simlly walk from deck to beach. I will stay here again. Only wished the sliding doors would open to get a nice breeze.

Enjoyed our stay

We made a last minute decision for a weekend (2 days prior) and the property manager was quick to respond and very accommodating. We had 2 adults, 6 teens and 2 younger kids and the space was perfect for us.

Shire is Beautiful earns the name

This is a second visit to the property and we love the location and the view. Just a few suggestions-- the sliders need some work-they stick and one did not have screens-so we could not enjoy the ocean sounds. We appreciate the linen service very much.

If only the A/C hadnā€™t stopped workingā€¦

This house was in the perfect location and was working well for our group, but unfortunately the A/C stopped working around noon the day before we were due to check out. We contacted the host, who contacted HVAC services but they were unable to get there until 8p that night. It got up to 86 degrees downstairs in the house, hotter upstairs (where our little kids would be sleeping) when we decided to drive home that night around 6p, as it was not possible to sleep in those conditions and we were concerned the issue may not be resolved that night. When we asked the host to refund the night we were unable to stay, they stopped responding to my messages. If the A/C incident followed by being ignored by the hosts hadnā€™t occurred, I would have recommended this house.

The stay was great. The house was not maintained well and I had to contact VRBO immediately to help me get in. I cleaning out the bathroom drain myself because the person bringing batteries for the door lock that did not work when I got there did not know how to do that. There was no offer to get a plumber. The stay was great after that.

Location and views beat everything!

The view, and location to the quiet beach was incomparable to any other. The shower downstairs and hose on the deck made up for the small bathrooms inside and honestly made the trip 10x better and easier!

The setup and beach access was exactly as described. The layout and setup was great for two family's. The beds were comfortable and we all enjoyed Oak Island. We would love to come back next year. Great place to stay!
